if i got 65 marks in cgpet can i get admission in gec raipur

Prachi Kumari 1st Jun, 2025

Hello,

Based on previous CG PET cutoffs , a score of 65 marks may be slightly below the typical thresholds for admission to Government Engineering College (GEC) Raipur. For instance, in 2022, the cutoff for Civil Engineering was approximately 69 marks, and for Computer Science Engineering, it was around 75 marks .

Participating in multiple rounds of counselling and considering backup options in other colleges or branches may increase your chances of securing admission.

Hope it helps !

can i get mining branch in gec kenojhar with 340045 rank my category is general

gopi 17th May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Coming at rank 340,045 in the general category, it is extremely less likely to get admission in the Mining branch of GEC Keonjhar through the conventional state or national level counseling procedures. GEC Keonjhar and its Mining branch tend to have much lower closing ranks, usually ranging from a few thousands to tens of thousands, based on the year and exam.

You can consider applying to other colleges with lower cutoffs or look into management quota or lateral entry if possible. Additionally, continue to check official counseling sites for updates on the latest cutoffs and available seats.

With a CGPET score of 88, securing a seat in the CSE branch at GEC Raipur is challenging, as the cutoff for CSE is usually higher. However, admission chances depend on category, seat availability, and the cutoff trends of the current year.

cgpet cutoff for 2025 in st category for GEC raipur

lisa 9th May, 2025

The exact CG PET 2025 cutoff for the ST category at GEC Raipur will be determined after the exam and seat allotment process is complete. However, based on previous trends and general guidelines, candidates need to score well in the CG PET exam to have a good chance of getting admission in GEC Raipur for the ST category. The minimum qualifying marks for reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, and PwD are 40% in the qualifying examination. The CG PET authorities will determine the final cutoff marks after considering the number of applicants, number of seats available, and the difficulty level of the exam.

Jee mains 80.4 percentile obc male ( bihar ) Gec bikaner me kisi branch me admission mil sakti hai ?

Mayumi DAS 27th Apr, 2025

Based on your JEE Mains percentile of 80.4 in the OBC category from Bihar , let's assess your chances of getting admission to GEC Bikaner (Government Engineering College Bikaner) in different branches.

GEC Bikaner Admission Overview:

  • GEC Bikaner offers undergraduate courses (B.Tech) in various branches, including:

    1. Computer Science Engineering (CSE)

    2. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

    3. Mechanical Engineering

    4. Civil Engineering

    5. Electrical Engineering

    6. Information Technology (IT)

Your Chances:

  • 80.4 percentile is a borderline percentile for admission into top branches like CSE and ECE in GEC Bikaner, especially considering the competition and the fact that CSE and ECE tend to close at much lower ranks.

  • However, you may still have a chance for admission in lower-demand branches like:

    1. Mechanical Engineering

    2. Civil Engineering

    3. Electrical Engineering

    4. IT (Information Technology)

Considerations:

  1. Home State Quota (Bihar) : Since you are from Bihar , you may have an advantage for state quota seats in GEC Bikaner.

  2. Category Reservation (OBC) : The OBC category gives you further advantage with reserved seats.

Conclusion:

  • CSE/ECE : Highly unlikely at 80.4 percentile , especially for general open seats.

  • Mechanical/Civil/IT/Electrical : Possible , depending on your rank and category quota .

You should definitely apply and see if there are any spot rounds or vacant seats in lower branches .

eee at cet or ec at gec thrissure

Asmee Biswas 4th Aug, 2024

Choosing between Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at CET (College of Engineering, Pune) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) at Government Engineering College (GEC) Thrissur depends on your career interests and goals. CET Pune is one of the premier engineering institutes in India, renowned for its strong academic reputation and industry connections, which can provide a significant advantage in the job market. On the other hand, GEC Thrissur, while a respected institution in Kerala, offers a solid program in Electronics and Communication, which is particularly relevant if you have a keen interest in communication systems and related technologies. Both options have their strengths, so consider factors such as location, faculty, campus facilities, and your specific interest in either Electrical or Electronics and Communication when making your decision.
