Yes, based on her AIR of 3424 in General and 970 in OBC category in JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch), your daughter has a good chance of getting admission in Architecture to MNIT Jaipur under the OBC category. In previous years, the closing ranks for OBC category at MNIT Jaipur for B.Arch have gone to around1500-1600, so a rank of 970 is comfortably at the lower part of that bracket. However, the final allotment will depend on yearly cutoffs, matrix of the seats and choices filled for JoSAA counseling. Check here for more information: MNIT jaipur
When you see previous year rank details and you find columns like SC ST OBC BH or EWS these are not showing general ranks they are actually showing category-wise ranks this means if you belong to the SC category then you should only check the SC column and not the general one because the SC column shows the last rank of the SC category student who got admission in that college for that course in that round of counselling similarly the ST column will show the rank of the last ST student who got selected in that college for that course and in that particular counselling round the OBC column shows OBC category ranks and BH stands for a specific category like sometimes it means Blind or Handicapped depending on the college or state norms the general column which is usually written as UR or Open category shows the ranks of students who were selected without any reservation benefit it includes students from any category but who got admission in open category seats so if you are checking your chances for a seat and you belong to a reserved category then you must focus on your own category’s cutoff rank and not the general one because reserved seats are filled based on category ranks not general ranks for example if your rank is 5800 and you are SC then you will compare your rank with the last SC rank shown in the SC column if that is 6000 then you have a good chance but if it is 4500 then your chance is low sometimes reserved category students also get seats in general category if their rank is very good and they come in general cutoff too in that case their name appears in general column so it can also happen that one student’s name appears in two columns but seat allotment is always based on the highest preference first if a student can get a seat in general he or she is given that seat and the reserved seat is passed on to someone else in that category that’s how more students from the reserved category can get seats in that round but the main thing is that all these SC ST OBC BH columns are showing only the last admitted rank for that specific category and not the overall general rank so always check the correct column when you see cutoff lists and match it with your own category rank it will help you understand better whether you have a chance or not in that college or course .

Hello Aspirant,
The ranks presented under the SC, ST, OBC columns in last year's rank details are category-wise ranks, and not general ranks. The SC, ST, OBC ranks indicate the last rank in the relevant category (SC, ST, OBC) that was assigned in a round/course. For the general/open category the ranks shown reflect unreserved candidates.
For example, SC column shows "2567" and it means that the last admitted SC Category candidate was assigned a category rank of 2567. The corresponding general rank may not be the same but it is not used for seat allotment in reserved categories.
Hello Karunya,
Securing a base document cutoff of 170 and a general rank of 60,564 means it might be difficult for you to get a seat in Kongu Engineering College for ECE or EEE in the general category, since ECE and EEE tend to be the most sought-after courses. Although it will be difficult to easiable, it will also"), as you must take into consideration the following for TNEA availability:
However, EEE tends to have slightly lower cutoffs than ECE in past years, and you may have a sliver of opportunity in EEE during later rounds or through management quota. It may be also possible courses and understand the cutoff trends in every TNE latter stages.
Hello,
If you're planning to take admission in NEET PG 2024 in Maharashtra and you belong to the General category, then it’s important to understand how the cutoff, seat availability, and fee structure work. This year, the qualifying cutoff for General category was around 290 to 300 marks out of 800. But honestly, just qualifying isn’t enough to get into a good government or semi-government college, you should aim for at least 300+ or even higher, especially if you’re looking at clinical branches like Medicine, Radiology, or Dermatology.
In Maharashtra, PG medical seats are 50% under the All India Quota (AIQ) and the other 50% are through State Quota, which is handled by Maharashtra CET Cell. Along with these, private and deemed universities also offer PG seats under management and NRI quotas. Maharashtra has a good number of PG seats but because government colleges offer better exposure and lower fees, the competition is really high. The fees in government colleges are very affordable, usually under 1 lakh per year. But private and deemed colleges can be expensive, with fees going up to 15–45 lakhs per year depending on the branch and college. Clinical branches, especially in private colleges, cost more and their cutoffs are also higher.

Being a general category girl applicant from Uttar Pradesh with a NEET 2025 rank of 230 494 will make it difficult to acquired a government seat in BAMS or BHMS due to high competition in Uttar Pradesh.
You have a slight chance in BHMS government seats especially if some seeds go unfilled mop up or stray vacancy rounds.
