My marks is 49.66% in bachelor degree and i belong to obc but i also completed my post graduate this year with 60% may i eligible to cat ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Aug, 2019
Dear Amit, the eligibility criteria says tjat a Candidate should have completed his Bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 50%. It is 50% for General Category and its 45% for Reserved Categories. Now OBC has a certain reservation and so it falls under Reserved Categories. So you are eligible to appear for CAT based on your Bachelor's degree. CAT is for admission to PG courses and the basic eligibility remains Bachelor's degree. Which means anything additional is additional and can help you in the Academic profile while being shortlisted for WAT and PI.

Sir fom university is best for big data or not?

Shreyash Kumar 29th Aug, 2019

Hello,

There are many options for pursuing post graduate education from any of the top German universities. The problem may arise in admission to the 2nd year of one of these programs as the curriculum differences and pedagogical differences cause hindrances in direct admission to the 2nd year of a masters program in a German university. There is also the factor that an MS or MSc program is generally broader in domain and is not specific to big data analytics but instead may comprise an associated subject on the same. Therefore, you will most probably have to take admission to the first year of the course regardless of your current educational status in the specified domain although this may also vary from university to university.

The top postgraduate masters programs in Germany in the domain of big data analytics include:

1. MSc Data Engineering and Analytics - Technical University of Munich

2. MSc Data Science - University of Mannheim

3. MSc Data Engineering - Jacobs University

Link: https://www.jacobs-university.de/study/graduate/programs/data-engineering

For admission to most of these programs, you will in most cases, require:

  • A GATE score
  • A GRE General Test score
  • English language proficiency scores (TOEFL, IELTS)
  • German language proficiency scores

What are the requirements to study masters in japan especially for engineering?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th Aug, 2019

Hello there!

Greetings!

Foreigners who want to study at a Japanese university must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a valid passport
  • 12 years of school in your home country .
  • Proof that you can pay all of your expenses while studying
  • Japanese language skills (not technically a requirement, but you will struggle in university courses without a working knowledge of the language)
University application requirements

A typical Japanese university application requires the following items:

  • References from professors/teachers
  • Proof that you can financially support yourself while studying
  • High school transcripts and/or diplomas
  • A valid passport
  • Passport-size photographs

While foreign students are not subjected to the sanity-bending rigours of the Japanese exams, they are required to take the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students. This includes academic and language testing, and is offered twice a year (in summer and fall, respectively). If you are applying to a university that requires English language skills and you are not a native English-speaker, you may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Thankyou

I am an undergraduate and I wanted to do My masters in marine biology in usa How do I study with maximum scholarship.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Aug, 2019
Dear Priya, most foreign Universities offer scholarship either based on your merit or financial situation. They are called Merit based scholarships and need based scholarships. Tp be eligible for Merit based scholarships, you should have an impeccable Academic record. Now, you havent mentioned your scores but Foreign Uniblversities are strict about scholarship rules. And then there are Financial based scholarships which are provided for Candidates when theor financial situation requires them to have a scholarship necessarily. Even then every financial scholarship cannot be given based merely on the financial position. Your academics should complement your requirement for a scholarship. So you have to check the Universities' official websites and then take a call accordingly.
