TNEA or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions is a counselling process conducted by Anna University each year for admissions into the engineering and related technology courses in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Candidates are eligible to apply for TNEA if they have cleared their HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

According to officials it is mentioned that HSC Board or Its equivalent which means that Any recognized board which is equal to HSC Board. so all three boards HSC, CBSE, and ICSE is valid for the counselling process in TNEA.

Dear applicant it's very hard to admit that though your HSC percentage is 86% but just because your MHT CET percentile is quite low to get admission into Pharmacy Colleges. Though there are good private Pharmacy Colleges in Maharashtra but they too have admission criteria which is way too beyond the marks obtained by you. Leading tech giants and recruitment firms like TCS, Wipro, Accenture have a rule that an education gap of more than one year is not suitable. However, it is different for different firms.

• For Wipro, a max. of three years of education interval is authorized in the middle of the 10th standard and undergraduate course.
• No intervals are enabled during Graduation. Graduation must be obtained in 3-4 years.
• Education must be formal full period only in 10th, 10+2, and Graduation acknowledged by the Central/State GOI.
• For TCS, It is compulsory to announce the gaps/arrears/backlogs at the time of education and/or job.
• Interval in education cannot be because of expansive schooling.
• Any gap in education/job for more than 24 months is not enabled and is acceptable only for reasonable explanations.
• For Accenture, gap-related norms are not there but the HR interviewer might ask you about it. So, better be prepared for this.
