Hello Jagdish,
Here's a list of coaching centers that provide preparation for IPMAT-
TIME, IMS, Career Launcher. These are the leading coaching institutes in this field. you can also go for Pratham online. It is one of the best online classes for IPM.
As far as preparation is concerned, it is not the case that once you join the classes everything will come to you walking. Self-study is really important. you should form a group of friends who are preparing for the same exam and discuss the problems which you are facing.
Good luck!
Hello Tanvi,
IPMATs eligibility criteria is 60% or above in HSC and you are thus eligible to register for the exam. However, IPMAT 2019 was conducted on 10th May 2019. You should then be looking towards IPMAT 2020.
The paper itself has 3 sections. Quantitative Ability (Short Answers), Quantitative Ability(MCQS) and Verbal Ability.
Each section among these will have their own cut off scores. The total expected cut off score for 2019 is 208-228.
After shortlisting, there is a Written Test and a Personal Interview.
Due to the thorough process for admission, if you are able to score very well in the IPMAT exam I believe you do still have a good chance of getting into IPMAT. The 50% in PCM will come up during your Personal Interview and you will have to convince your Interviewers that you are better than what your academics show. A strong IPMAT score much above the cut off will go a long way with that.
Hey, Dhruv!
The IPMAT exam has questions from two subjects, namely, mathematics and English. In mathematics, the topics covered in standard 9 and standard 10 (CBSE) in mathematics is asked alongside some topics such as matrices, probability etc. which is covered in standard 11 and 12. For English, comprehension based questions are asked which tests your knowledge about basic grammar. The comprehensive list of the topics in the syllabus are as follows:
Syllabus Section 1: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus
Data Interpretation Syllabus
Logical Reasoning Syllabus
Syllabus for Section 2: Verbal Ability& Reading Comprehension
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hey shefali,
Meaning of online mode of exam is that you will be giving the exam on a computer instead of a paper. Like in school days we give our exams by writing down answers on a paper but in online mode of exam you will get a computer with your name and roll no. and a question paper in it. The online mode of examination is designed for compatitive exams.
Its very simple not much differenent from paper base. You will get a centre for the IPMAT. In the centre there will be other students who has applied for the same exam. According to your roll no you will get a room with other students. There will be computer system in which you will get question paper, you just have to click it to answer the ques. You will get a time limit for the paper same as we use to get in schools. There will be a clock inside your computer system. Make sure you know the centre before your actual day of examination. Also keep your admit card printed and your original Id card with you to get inside the exam centre.
I wish you all the best. :)
