Good luck
According to online resourses, ISRO recruits scientists if they have a PhD in astronomy, mathematics, or physics. Along with this, the candidate must hold an engineering degree. You can opt for polytechnic and lateral entry into BTech after that, but lateral entry will close the gates of reputed institutes like NITs and IITs for you. So it will be better to give the JEE after class 12 or after you complete your polytechnic. The recruitment is conducted by the Centralized Recruitment Board. Selection is based on the written exam and interview.
Hey
Firstly, even the scientists at ISRO get a salary of around 1 lakh 10 thousand per month so it is impossible for a graduate from IIT (or any istitute) to get a package of more than 50 lakh at isro.
Secondly, to become an astrophysicist at isro you do not have to graduate from iit. You can do a BSc hons in Physics, then a masters and then finally you will have to do a PhD in Astrophysics. Then you will have to apply and if you are seen capable enough only then they will call you for an interview after which they will decide to whether you deserve a spot in or not(they do not go for campussing).
Hi Dear,
the starting salary of Astrophysicist in ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) is around 50,000 monthly. However, with experience and expertise the salary increases and can even reach more than 60 lakhs per annum.

good Luck
Computer Science Engineering and Information Science/ Information Technology are different branches though relatable. ISRO during recruitment clearly mentions the branches which can apply under a given opportunity/position. For example it clearly mentions whether Civil, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Production Engineers can apply under a Vacancy meant for Mechanical Branch.
There may be certain vacancies where they relaxe the criteria to Information Science, IT, Data Engineering graduates besides CSE Branch, whereas there might be certain appointments specifically meant for CSE and Specializations.
hey!
Completion of masters degree gives you a good opportunity to join easily in government sector. you can either write the all india exam or you can join by ICRB else you can directly apply to the vacancies available in ISRO which ISRO publishes regulary on its careers portal on its official website. Also some of the IITs also offers campus placements to the iSRO to masters candidates (if you are candidate of any such IIT).
thankyou
