Hello DUGGARAJU ABHINAY , For joining ISRO by giving ISRO exam for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’. The exam is conducted for the Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Sciences departments, out of these this year there were 42 seats in Electronics, 36 in Mechanical and 9 in Computer Sciences.
So, from any of branch ECE or CSE both are best for ISRO.
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
hi,
see there is various recruitment comes for isro, however it also depends on the pst and what kind of job you have applied. however just passing 10th and no other technical certificate would not get you a job in isro or any other research organization. some times technician or apprentice hires for ISRO, STUDENTS WHO HAVE iti Passed or diploma course in engineering may apply for the post.
again it depends on whether the recruitment come or not. so right now in this early stage of study you should focus on how you want to make your career, which course interest you the most. just dont think about only ISRO. there is many more reputed organization available apart from ISRO.,
ISRO is not an Educational Center. It is the Indian Space Research Organisation that offers Space Technology services and opportunities in the same field.
There are various levels at which you can join ISRO and at various designations.
After 12th: You can get into IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) for their Undergraduate programmes. The admission is based on JEE Advanced scores. Which means you need to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2. You can pick any of their 4 year Bachelor programmes like B.Tech in Physical Sciences, B.Tech in Avionics and B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, etc. Or you can also pick up their 5 year Integrated courses in Master of Science in Astronomy and AstroPhysics, Master of Technology in Earth System Science, Master of Science in Solid State Physics and Master of Science in Optical Engineering, etc.
Opportunities are amazing for academically brilliant candidates. With a CGPA of 7.5 or higher, subject to the availability of vacancies, you get placed in ISRO. Aero and Avio graduates have better prospects even outside ISRO.
After B.Tech: IIST also offers Postgraduate Programmes like:
M.Tech in Soft Computing & Machine Learning M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering M.Tech in Geo informatics M.Tech in Optical Engineering M.Tech in Machine Learning & Computing M.Tech in Solid State Technology M.Tech in VLSI & Microsystems M.Tech in Materials Science & Technology, etc.
Opportunities depend upon ISRO Placements conducted by centralised recruitment committee
see indian space research institute and defense research and development institute is prominent organization in india. however every year there is various recruitment comes through isro and drdo. the organization conducts written test of mcq type generally based on the work position. the recruitment process and written test and personal Interview rounds.
however it is not possibly say about which year recruitment would comes for geology professional. so it would be best for you if you get any job in iits placement.
Hey!
Yes you can. Many vacancies for Junior research fellow in projects are out in ISRO which demands MSc in geology. Apart if you are good at GIS or Remote sensing concepts and Software for data analysis its an added advantage for you. Vacancies for same are released on the official website of isro, you can check it there.
Thank you
