How is Mmu mullana for Mbbs? Does it offer PG quota after mbbs?

Awadh 31st Aug, 2025

Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU) Mullana is a well-known private medical college located in Haryana, offering the MBBS program with recognition from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college provides a comprehensive medical education with good infrastructure, experienced faculty, and adequate clinical exposure through its associated hospital, which caters to a large number of patients. This hands-on training is crucial for MBBS students to gain practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge.

MMU Mullana is known for maintaining a balanced academic environment and offers various facilities, including well-equipped lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, and hostel accommodations. The college emphasizes not only academic excellence but also overall personality development through extracurricular activities and seminars. Students generally have access to modern medical equipment and regular assessments designed to prepare them for their medical careers effectively.

Regarding postgraduate (PG) quota after MBBS, MMU Mullana offers postgraduate medical courses in several specialties through its own PG admissions and quota system. However, PG seats in government medical colleges are limited and highly competitive, and MMU’s PG seats mostly fall under the management or private quota. Students can apply for MD/MS programs at MMU based on NEET PG scores and the university’s counseling procedure. It is important for aspirants to check the latest official notifications from the university for updated PG seat availability and admission criteria.

In summary, MMU Mullana provides a solid MBBS program with good infrastructure and clinical exposure. The institution does offer PG medical seats in various specialties after MBBS, primarily through its private quota system. Prospective students should stay informed through the official MMU website to understand the specific PG admission process and seat allotment for the current academic year

what will be my category if i am a reserved candidate as snq ,hyd-kar, and also as MM1 religious minority like what will be it example 1AG ,etc.

Abhilasha Agrawal 31st Aug, 2025

In Karnataka CET/COMEDK counseling, your base category will be shown first (like GM, 1G, 2AG, 3BG, SCG etc.). If you are eligible for Hyd-Kar region, it will be added (e.g., 2AG-HKR). If you belong to a religious minority (MM1), that is also included (e.g., GM-MM1, 1G-MM1). For SNQ quota, it is mentioned separately along with your category (e.g., GM-SNQ, 2AG-SNQ). So your final code looks like a combination of all these reservations. For example: 2AG-HKR-MM1-SNQ.

Is it possible to improve Kerala boards 12th marks after passing? I could only score 72% and i want to improve to 75% so is it possible? if yes how? any help appreciated! thanks in advance.

Awadh 31st Aug, 2025

Improving your Kerala Board 12th marks after passing is generally not possible through the normal re-examination process, as the board does not commonly provide an official "improvement exam" for the plus two standard like some other state boards. Typically, the Kerala State Education Board allows students to apply for re-evaluation or scrutiny of their answer scripts if they believe there might be an error in marking. Re-evaluation can potentially help increase marks, but the chances of increasing your overall percentage significantly (from 72% to 75%) solely via rechecking are limited as it depends on the error margin in evaluation.

The Kerala Board’s official website and recent updates do not mention a formal improvement exam for bettering marks after passing. However, it is recommended to contact your school or the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (the Kerala Board examination authority) to confirm if any special provisions exist or if supplementary exams can be taken for improvement, though supplementary exams are usually intended for failing subjects rather than improving passing marks.

If you want to improve your percentage, a common practice students follow is enrolling in professional or degree courses that accept improvement marks or give weightage to semester exam performances. Alternatively, pursuing higher education with good scores can overshadow small differences in board percentages.

Another indirect option is to pursue certifications, entrance exams, and coursework that add value beyond your board marks, which can boost academic profiles.

In summary, Kerala Board 12th students cannot officially improve their marks through a formal improvement exam after passing. Re-evaluation is an option but with limited scope for large increases. Checking directly with Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan or your school is essential for clarity on the latest policies.

Abhilasha Agrawal 31st Aug, 2025

Yes, the UGC has proposed bi-annual admissions for PG courses in India, allowing admissions in both July/August and January/February cycles. However, not all universities have implemented this yet. Whether you can join a PG course in the January/February cycle depends on the specific university and program. Some may offer limited seats in this cycle. It’s best to check the official university website for notifications and eligibility. This system aims to give flexibility and reduce waiting periods for students.

i have EWS certificate for 2023-24 year i dont want to apply for EWS in 2024-25 year but i want EWS certificate for 2025 -26 year is it possible ? or we need to upgrade every year??

Prachi Kumari 30th Aug, 2025

Hello,

EWS certificate is valid only for one financial year (from 1st April to 31st March).
So, if you have an EWS certificate for 2023-24, it cannot be used for 2024-25 or 2025-26.

You need to apply for a fresh EWS certificate every year whenever you need it.
It cannot be carried forward or skipped for one year and then renewed later.

So yes, you must get a new certificate issued for 2025-26 when required.

Hope it helps !
