Akash Singh 4th Aug, 2021

Hello student,

I am very clear with your question. Are you asking that if you gave your board exam in 2020 and you did not give JEE exams that year but appeared in 2021 and now you are asking that are you eligible for JEE Main 2022 or not?

If this is not your question then tell me in comment section.

See, You can sit for JEE Main 2022 comfortably provided that you appeared for class 12th in 2020.

For JEE Main, you get three years of attempts, first in the passing year, and two more consecutive years. So as you passed board in 2020, so in 2020, 2021 and 2022, you had or will have options to appear for JEE Main.

Ye, You will be not eligible for JEE Advanced of 2022 because for JEE Advanced you get one less year of attempt.

As you said you have passed class 12th in 202o, so you will eligible for JEE 2022.

For JEE advanced you get one less year of chance than JEE Main attempts.

To know more about JEE Main, you can go through the link below.

I hope this information helps you.

All the very best!!

IF A STUDENT FAILS IN JEE MAIN EXAM IN 1 ATTEMT SO WHEN HE WAS ANOTHER TEST OF JEE MAIN AND ALSO IF A STUDENT FAIL IN 1 ATTEMPT OF JEE ADVANCED SO WHEN HE WAS DO SECOND TEST

siddharthabiswas609 30th Jul, 2021
Hello Aspirant,

You give jee mains three times once with your 12th boards, and two more times in next 2 consecutive years.
In 2021 there are four attempts for JEE Mains , so if you scores low percentile in one attempt then you  can give another attempt (all 4 attempts) and improve your  score.
As far as JEE Advanced is concerned,
The maximum number of attempts that the candidates can attempt JEE Advanced is two times in two consecutive years.

in jee main exam, how many unique students in all 4 sessions. and finally cut off for jee advanced in general category

Anurag Khanna 25th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Total figure of candidates appeared for JEE-Main 2021 will be released by NTA after the completion of all 4 sessions. And the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main so we have wait for some more time because the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed

But on the basis of previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

So if you are from General category then you should aim for at least 90+ percentile in JEE-Main 2021.

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

A candidate has 3 chances to appear for Jee mains in three consecutive years and 2chances in two consecutive years.
