To prepare for IIT jam, you should be well aware of exam pattern and syllabus.

Since there are many topics, the candidates will be needed to make a table dividing the topics and subjects and allowing them a specific amount of time to go through.
Prepare notes - Preparing notes, both short and long, will help a lot in revising the topics at the end or whenever it is needed.
Keep exam pattern in mind - The candidates must learn in a smart way by dedicating most of their to the topics which carry more marks. The candidates are suggested to make a priority list, giving those topics the utmost priority which carries more marks than others.

Hi,
There are six papers in iit jam. A candidate has to select the papers according to his/ her eligibility.
The papers are-
Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY)
Geology (GG) ,Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA),Physics (PH)
The syllabus for biotechnology paper comprises subjects biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics.
It includes
BIOLOGY (10+2+3 level)
CHEMISTRY (10+2+3 level) MATHEMATICS (10+2 level)
PHYSICS (10+2 level)
Though the math is included in the syllabus of iit jam papers. But for admission to some courses it is not necessary while for some courses math is compulsory.
Hope this helps.
Well the difficulty of the paper for mathematics was similar to last year. The both year paper was off same pattern and somewhat same level. But the diversity was more this time and the cut off can be expected to vary only a bit either more or less depending upon the number of students and the marks they score.
I hope my answer helps.
All the best.
Hi Pranoy,
As of now, IIT JAM has released response sheet in 12th February they will be releasing the answer sheet any time soon. For more information please refer this link: https://university.careers360.com/articles/jam-answer-key
Hey!
No, you can not attempt IIT-JAM after your 12th class.
Since IIT-JAM exam is conducted by the government for admission to Master's degree, So to attempt IIT-JAM, it is compulsory to have a Bachelor's degree.
You can try it after the completion of your graduation.
Hope this answer helps!
Akash, Honestly, it is very difficult to predict the cutoff or the expected ranks of IIT JAM Physics 2020 as of now, but we can make use of previous year trends to calculate the expected rank and cutoff. With respect to the cutoff, it is a big possibility that you would clear the cutoff irrespective of your category as many coaching institutions predict it to be around 16-19 for general category students. However, predicting the rank is a bit more difficult and tedious task as it also depends on factors like total number of candidates and difficulty level of exam which varies every year and we cannot really predict the effect of toughness of this years' paper on the rank. However, looking at past few years trends , you can expect a rank close to 1200-1250, maybe even less than that based on the variables as described earlier. Note that is the General Rank and not the category rank which is very difficult to predict at this instant unless we know the exact number of same category students participating in IIT JAM PHYSICS exam. Also, understand that is only a prediction made on the basis of previous years trends and actual results may vary, however, these predictions do help in evaluating our chances.
Hello,
Getting ab admission will be difficult even if you have reservation category. Cutoff percentile is less for PwD. But admission is given on the basis of rank. Categorical mark and rank is decided by the board so it is unpredictable.
Look for cutoff and apply for admission for non technical branches or core branches.
Chances are less but better to give a try.
Hope it helps!

hi,
see at this score you have less chances for iits, however since you have qualifies you may participate in counselling process, as per previous years score you have chances in nit agartala, nit arunachal pradesh, nit meghalaya. but I suggest you also to try to apply in state government colleges, delhi university, banaras hindu university , jadavpur university also, some of the colleges has separate entrance test and some offers admission based on graduation marks for msc courses.
