MA in Journalism and Mass Communication is a two year PG programme in the area of mass communication and journalism.

It is one of the greatly prominent programmes among graduates who aspire to earn the theoretical understanding and practical abilities needed to make a livelihood in journalism, mass communication and media.

ELIGIBILITY

Aspirants must have finished graduation from any acknowledged university.

The eligibility standards of MAJMC may differ for several institutes/universities.

Some colleges usually want a minimum score for admission to their MAJMC programme.

English must have been the subject during senior secondary or graduation.

North Maharashtra University MA MCJ Entrance Examination

The North Maharashtra University administers an examination for admission in MA (MCJ) program.

University of Kerala MCJ Entrance Examination - The university gives admission to 20 seats for MCJ programmes through an entrance test.

The entrance test is administered by the Department of Communication, the University of Kerala and the admissions are accomplished established on both marks achieved in graduation and the entrance test.

AJK Mass Communication Research Centre Entrance Examination

It is deemed as one of the greatly prominent colleges for media and journalism programmes.

The entries are done based on a merit list published after an entrance test.

Communication Aptitude Test (CAP Test)

Yes you will get admission in many colleges in India for journalism. It is a degree which requires student to be familiar and fluent in english language, and so being graduated from English will be a plus point from you.

Further, the eligibility criteria for admission in Journalism is as follows :

For Undergraduate courses, the eligibility criteria are:

  • Candidate needs to have completed 10+2 years of education.

  • Must have a minimum of 50% in 12th from a recognised board, and any stream ( Arts , Science, Commerce )

  • Some colleges have the criteria which require candidates to possess good communication, reading and English skills.


Admissions are usually made based on merit or a university-level examination.


For Post Graduate courses, the eligibility criteria are:

  • Candidates must hold a valid Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or college.

  • Entrance tests are sometimes required.
