about journalism how to learn journalism

keshav kumar 14th Jan, 2022

Hi,

Hope you are doing great.

Journalism is basically collecting or gathering information and creating something informative out of it.

Now if you wish to learn journalism you have to start it at the undergraduate level which is a Bachelor of mass communication and journalism, bachelor of arts Hons in journalism, BA in Journalism and Communication Studies. And if you wish to study it further you can go for Post graduation in Journalism( MA in Journalism and Communication),  MA in Multimedia, and Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication.

If we see the basic eligibility for undergraduate courses, the candidate must have completed his 10+2 from the recognized board with at least 50% marks. And for Post graduation courses the candidate must have hold a valid bachelor's degree from a recognized university, some universities will have their entrance test also.

now I am studying B.SC Computer Science after this is it possible to study Both journalism and computer science courses if it possible: What kind of opportunities are obtained in future

pdwords Student Expert 8th Jan, 2022

Hello,

First of all if you want to pursue post graduate degree in computer science and journalism you can do so both the courses simultaneously, however the only condition is one is to be done through regular mode and another through distance mode, you cannot pursue two degree courses at the same time in regular medium, the institutes may be same or different, that doesn't matter, however one is to be done through regular and another through distance,

now coming to your question the scope after completion of  MSc Computer Science lies in both technical and non-technical domain such as IT firms, academics, business organizations, design companies, you will get job profiles that of software developer, network technician, computer hardware engineer etc in top companies such as TCS, IBM, Accenture, Cognizant, Siemens, explore full details pertaining to MSc Computer Science at https://www.careers360.com/courses/msc-in-computer-science

when it comes to journalism, there is no such restrictions of being graduate from a specific discipline unlike say for MSc Computer Science, this field too is emerging at incredible rate, hence the opportunities are diverse, the job profiles includes that of reporter/critic/photojournalist/proof-reader/correspondent/feature writer/editor etc , some of the top recruiters are TOI, Hindustan Times, Zee Network, AIR, Indian Express, The Hindu, India Today Group to name a few, visit our page at https://www.careers360.com/courses/journalism-course to know more details regarding this,

to answer your question, both the fields are emerging at great pace, and holds great significance ahead in future, it depends you want to explore which domain, if you have great technical expertise then go for computer science if you want to explore unconventional dimension more so making the world and its citizens well-informed about so much happenings, then go for journalism.
