Is it necessary to take the general test if I have to go to Delhi University, I have applied for Economics (hon.) ? Can I just take one language (English) , maths, physics and chemistry?

Student 22nd Jun, 2022

Hi there. In response to your query the answer would be unfortunately no. As per the pattern of the examination the general examination has to be given, it's not considered as an optional examination as of present, it's more like an obligate examination. You would have to appear for that and clear it in order to achieve your goal.

Hope this answer helps; best wishes

I am bengali but my second language in board exam is hindi. Can I give wbcs exam?

Srijani Debnath 10th Jun, 2022

Hello aspirant,

In WBCS exam the prelims question paper is printed in English and Bengali both languages. Those who opt for Hindi, they get their question paper in English and Hindi.

However, the mains examination questions are printed only in English language. One can even take Hindi as a compulsory paper. So language doesn't matter. But a little knowledge of Bengali is always appreciate in this regard. All the best to you.

Hello aspirant!

For DU CUET in B.Sc Zoology (hons), these are the norms:

As per the language paper, you have selected English so it's alright.

Regarding the domain subjects, if you want to pursue B.Sc Zoology (hons) then it is mandatory to select three domain subjects- Physics, Chemistry and biology/Biochemistry/Biological studies/Biotechnology.

So, yes, you also have to prepare for Physics in addition to Chemistry and Biology.

I am 30 yers old and i have gap of 7 years after i completed my engineering. Because i had a business. But now i dont have any career. Can i start my career by learning python language and can i restart my life as python developer??

Anurag Khanna 16th Jun, 2022

Hello Vipin,

Yes you can definitely make your career further as Python developer but as you are now 30 years old so you are going to face some difficulties in getting job in corporate sector because MNCs and other private are now actively looking for young techy minds but if you can have a good knowledge of Python cores and if you can prepare yourself for roles of senior developer in Python then you can definitely have a decent job but you will have to learn from basic to very advanced in Python if you want to be a senior Python developer.

Also if you are interested in the job roles of Python development then before applying to any job make sure that you must do a lot of projects to show your experience over there in job interviews.

I hope you got the point.

Good Luck!!!

  2. PCM or PCB subject combination to be chosen.

For B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Physics, B.Sc. Polymer Science

  1. One language from section 1A
  2. PCM subject combination to be chosen.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science

  1. One language paper from section 1A.
  2. Maths along with the other two subjects from Section-B to be chosen.
  3. The merit record will be made established on the CUET totals achieved in Maths and the additional two subjects.

For B.Sc Microbiology

You had to choose three-domain subjects

  1. 1 language paper from section 1A (a 30% total or more in the language is required) and 3 obligatory domain subjects that comprise Phy, Chem, and Bio/Biological Studies/ Biotech/ Biochem.

So you had to choose three domain-specific subjects to be eligible for DU. So, if are not eligible.
