Is it very hard to get selected in the entrance exams of Jadavpur University especially for literature?

The test will comprise of four parts mainly.
First part is multiple choice questions.
Part two is poem based descriptive questions.
And there will be two logic based questions and one essay.

I believe that a decent skill set in English would help you clear the test easily. Make sure to increase your vocabulary bank, which will be extremely helpful in the writing tasks.

You can download past year entrance examination question papers of JNU from its official website and also from the link below.

Once you will thoroughly go through past year question papers, you will get an idea of type of questions and how to answer them.
There are no specific sources and books that from you can cover the entrance syllabus.But you will find lot of books online on amazon and flipkart that provide solved previous year questions and additional notes that will help you to suffice.

I am a Bsc student want to pursue MA literature in DU. Am I eligible?

Hello,

Unfortunately you are not eligible.
Admission in DU is done by two ways of which one is admission is offered for candidates who have completed B.A Honours degree in English from the University of Delhi. Such candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Reserved category candidates like OBC/SC/ST/PwD need to have 55% marks only.

And the other is Entrance test based that will is being conducted for those candidates having completed B.A Honours in (English) from Delhi University with a minimum of 45% marks.

Eligibility criteria to get admission in DU for MA (English) can be gone through entrance exam or direct. Direct admission can be offered for a candidates who have completed BA honours degree in English from the university of Delhi and should have minimum 60% in the qualifying board. And.. Entrance test will be conducted to the candidates who have completed BA honours in (English) from university of Delhi should have minimum 45%.Other recognised university candidates can also apply, but should have at least 50% marks in qualifying marks. So..by this you are not eligible . I hope I might have helped you a little bit. Good luck!!

Hello,

The eligibility criteria for admission in MA Hindi literature in JNU is that the candidate should have completed a bachelors degree in any discipline under the pattern of 10+2+3. Also the candidate should have secured 45% of marks aggregate with adequate proficiency in the subject/ language concerned. Similarly in case of DU, a candidate should have completed any bachelors degree. However a bachelors degree in hindi itself is preferred in both the cases. The admission can be based on merit or the marks obtained in the qualifying entrance test conducted by the universities. Therefore visit the official websites to confirm the admission procedure and for more details.

There're lot of certificate and diploma courses provided in English Teaching you can do that, it can be regular or distance, you can also enroll for courses at Coursera, EdX, FutureLearn, Udemy etc, all these provide incredible courses and one gets to learn a lot free of cost and there're also paid course which gives certificate after completion for course. You can also pursue your higher studies through distance mode.

i want to do pg in literature. is it have entrance exam?

Hello,

St Joseph's Degree and PG College, Hyderabad has following courses in pg level-

MBA

Master of Communication & Journalism (MCJ)

Evidently,this college doesn't offer English Literature at PG level.

Coming to JNU, it does conduct entrance test for MA English,its syllabus includes topics such as history of English Literature, how development of English Literature took place in India and other parts of world specifically focusing from 18th century onwards, literary criticism and theory etc, basically an in depth understanding of Literature at undergraduate level is required here.
