LLB
Hello Mahesh
LLB and BA LLB are both different courses.
While LLB is only of 3 years, BA LLB is of 5 years.
While graduation is required for doing LLB, you can do BA LLB after 12th class.
In simple, LLB focus only on law while BA LLB integrates components of arts subjects with law.
Hope this answer helps! Thank You!!!
Hello,
The main difference between LLB and BA LLB lies in their structure and duration. The LLB course is a three-year program that requires a prior bachelor's degree. On the other hand, BA LLB is a five-year integrated program with a combination of bachelor's and law studies.
I hope it clears your query!!
Thanks for your question. Most LLB entrance exams (like CLAT UG/PG, DU LLB, , etc.) have more or less similar topics. Here's a general idea of the syllabus:
Read newspapers for current affairs, and practice past papers.

BA LLB admissions under AKTU in Delhi/NCR are usually based on 10+2 marks or through university-level entrance exams. Fee structure varies by institute, ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh per year depending on whether it's a private or government-affiliated college. Check college-specific brochures or AKTU’s admission portal.
LLB course is recognized, but it depends on which university or college you have done the course from. In India, LLB course done from a law college recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) is valid.
If you do LLB from a recognized university or college, your degree will be valid and you can enter the legal profession.
And To practice law in India, you must obtain an LLB degree from a law college recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
In short, the recognition of an LLB course depends on whether it is done from a recognized institute or not.
Hi dear candidate,
By the end of August, all the universities/ colleges closes the admissions for both UG and PG courses due to fulfilment of the seats and classes commences at most by first week of September. So, by this time there are negligible chances of admissions reopening and they would begin in the month of May/ June 2026.
You may try in any private institution as they might have very few possibility of having seats left but try as soon as possible.

Delhi University does not offer a 5-year integrated BA LLB course. Instead, DU provides a 3-year LLB program after graduation, through its prestigious Faculty of Law, which includes Law Centre-I, Law Centre-II, and Campus Law Centre (CLC). To get admission into these, you must appear for the DU LLB Entrance Exam now through CUET PG there is no merit-based admission to this program. Now, if you’re specifically looking for a 5-year BA LLB course after Class 12, then DU is not the right place. You can instead explore GGSIPU (IP University) which is also based in Delhi.Another option in Delhi is NLU Delhi, which offers BA LLB through the AILET exam. So, overall, none of these institutions offer admission to BA LLB solely on a merit basis.
As for fee structure, in government institutions like USLLS, the fees are quite reasonable — around 40,000–60,000 per year. In contrast, private colleges under IPU can charge 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh annually.
Hope you will find it helpful and all the best!
Hii,
Total fee for a five year BA LLB program in India can range from approximately 50,000 to 20,00,000 depends on the type of institution .Here is general overview:
1.Government colleges (NLUS): total 5-year fess is approx. rs. 7.5 lakh to 12.5 lakh.
2. Private colleges : total 5- year fees rs. 10 lakh to 20 lakh approx.
3. State Universities /local colleges: total 5-year fees is approx. rs. 1 lakh to 3.5 lakh.
Hello aspirant,
If you're going for a government law college, then their fees range 10,000–25,000 per year. That means a 3-year LLB might cost you around 30,000 to 70,000 total, excluding hostels or extra charges.
But if you’re applying to private or deemed universities, the fees are higher around 80,000 to 1.5 lakh per year. So over 3 years, it could go up to 4–5 lakhs.
Some top private law colleges like Symbiosis, Christ University, or Jindal Global Law School are way more expensive the whole course. But they do offer great exposure and placements too.
Always check for scholarships or state reservation benefits you can might be eligible for fee waivers.
