I am student of maharashtra but I want to take indore as my exam centre for mhtcet

gitika yadav 2nd Jan, 2025

Hi Anu,

Yes, you can select Indore as your exam center for MHT-CET. The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell allows candidates to choose exam centers outside Maharashtra, provided these are listed in the official brochure for that particular year.

Steps to Select Indore as the Exam Center:

  1. During Registration :

    • While filling out the MHT-CET application form, you will have the option to choose your preferred exam center.
    • Look for Indore in the list of centers and select it as your preference.
  2. Verify Availability :

    • Ensure that Indore is listed as an exam center in the official notification or brochure for MHT-CET. This is updated annually.
  3. Submit the Application :

    • Complete the application process and verify the details before final submission.
  4. Admit Card Check :

    • Once admit cards are issued, confirm that Indore has been assigned as your exam center.

Important Notes:

  • Exam centers outside Maharashtra are typically limited, so apply early to increase your chances of getting your preferred center.
  • Keep an eye on official notifications or updates regarding any changes in exam center policies.

For more details, you can visit the given link, or the official website of MHT CET.

Best wishes!

if i have given MHT CET exam and i want to give 12th board exam so can i use my previous MHT CET marks or i have give it again

Syed Ali 1st Jan, 2025

If you have already appeared for the MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) exam and are planning to appear for the 12th board exam again, here's what you need to know:

  1. MHT CET Marks Validity:

    • The MHT CET exam is generally valid for the year it was conducted. For instance, if you gave the MHT CET in 2024, those marks will be valid only for the 2024 admission cycle.
    • If you plan to take the 12th board exams again (for improving marks), you will not be required to retake the MHT CET unless you want to improve your MHT CET score or if you are applying for admission in a different year.
  2. Retaking MHT CET:

    • If you plan to reapply for the MHT CET after your board exams for a different year, you will need to take the exam again as your previous score will not be valid for the new year.
  3. 12th Board Exam and MHT CET:

    • Your 12th board exam results do not affect your previous MHT CET marks. The two exams are separate, and you can use the previous year's MHT CET marks for admission purposes unless you wish to improve them by retaking the exam.

In summary, if you are applying in the same year , your MHT CET marks remain valid. But if you are applying for admission in a different year, you will need to retake MHT CET.

I fill my HSC board exam form in open category then can I fill my MHT-CET form in OBC category

Afreen 24th Dec, 2024

Yes of course you can fill your form from obc category in MHT CET if you haven't use your caste certificate before like in your board exams But you must fulfill these conditions

If anyone is OBC but he comes under the CL (creamy layer) Section then he will not come under the OBC category. They are equal to general unreserved Category.so your category must fall under non creamy layer of OBC category.

So you have to be OBC-NCL (non creamy layer) for filling category OBC in MHT CET

Be prepared with your OBC-NCL caste certificate.you must obtain your category certificate before filing form.

If there is option of OBC-CL and if you are OBC-CL then you have to choose that option. If the option is unavailable then you have to choose general Category if you fall under OBC-CL.

GOOD LUCK!!

i have passed 12th with pcb now i have added math with nios. now i have 2 marksheet is i am eligible for mht cet for btech? if yes how?

kumardurgesh1802 26th Nov, 2024

Hello Sahit,

Yes, you are eligible to apply for MHT CET for B.Tech after completing 12th with PCB and adding Mathematics through NIOS. Here's how:

Eligibility Criteria:

a) MHT CET requires candidates to have passed 12th (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

b) Your NIOS Mathematics marksheet can be used to fulfill the Math requirement.

How to Apply:

a) While applying for MHT CET, you need to upload both your regular 12th marksheet (PCB) and the NIOS Mathematics marksheet as proof of eligibility.

b) Ensure both documents are valid and issued by recognized boards.

Verification Process:

During the document verification phase of counseling, present both marksheets. Clearly mention that the additional Mathematics subject was completed via NIOS.

Important Note:

Keep an eye on specific guidelines from the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, as they may require additional clarification or documentation due to having two marksheets.

By combining your PCB qualification with NIOS Mathematics, you meet the eligibility for B.Tech programs through MHT CET.

Can I score 150+ in mht cet 2025 if one has just started preparing from november scratch

kumardurgesh1802 17th Nov, 2024

Hello Hrishikesh,

Yes, scoring 150+ in MHT CET 2025 is possible if you start preparing from November, even from scratch. Here's how you can plan effectively:

  1. Understand the Syllabus : Focus on the MHT CET syllabus, which aligns with the Maharashtra State Board for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology for PCB). Prioritize high-weightage chapters.|

  2. Daily Study Schedule : Dedicate at least 6-8 hours daily, dividing time equally among subjects. Allocate time for theory, problem-solving, and revision.

  3. Focus on Concepts : Build a strong foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Use NCERT textbooks and additional reference books like HC Verma for Physics and RD Sharma for Mathematics.

  4. Regular Practice : Practice solving previous years' MHT CET papers and mock tests to improve speed and accuracy.

  5. Time Management : Learn to balance speed with accuracy since MHT CET is a speed-based exam with no negative marking.

  6. Seek Guidance : Enroll in online/offline coaching or watch free lectures if needed. Platforms like Unacademy, Vedantu, or YouTube offer helpful resources.

With consistent effort and regular practice, achieving a 150+ score is achievable even with a late start.

Is it necessary aadhar name and 10th marksheet should be same for applying the mht cet ??

Prachi Kumari 17th Nov, 2024

Hello Omkar,

Yes, it is important that the name on the Aadhaar card and the 10th marksheet match for applying to the MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). Here are the key points to consider:

  1. Verification of Identity : The exam authorities require consistent personal details for verifying the identity of applicants.
  2. Avoiding Discrepancies : Mismatched names between the Aadhaar card and the 10th marksheet may lead to complications or rejections during the application or document verification process.
  3. Application Integrity : Accurate documentation ensures a seamless registration and admission process.
  4. Mandatory Document Check : The Aadhaar card and the 10th marksheet are primary documents used for verifying identity, age, and eligibility.
  5. Correction Requirement : If there is a mismatch, corrections should be made in one of the documents prior to applying to avoid delays or disqualification.

Ensuring name consistency helps prevent issues during the exam and admission procedures.
