What is psedo force in mechanics?

Pseudo force is an unreal or fictitious force.Pseudo force is experienced when the observer is present in an accelerated system.Pseudo Force is a mathematical adjustment in the Newton's Equations of Motion.When we calculate net force acting on an object in relative frame, we add or subtract pseudo force. In the ground frame, it is observed by the person but in relative frame, one does not see the force being applied but the effect can be seen.

Both the books are decent but my suggestion would be the household HC Verma. Mainly because of the numerical questions in it. Solving just one question would teach you almost all the skills and concepts associated with that particular topic. Also dont neglect NCERT.

hi,

for semester preparation you should follow the books suggested by you to your college faculty. see gate and semester exam is totally two different type exam, for understanding for basic conceptual part any good text book will be good. gate is numerical question type exam. you need to solve as many of questions for gate. follow the previous years paper, you will get an idea. schaums series books are best for numerical practice.

It is good to read well in 11-12th.Coming to automobile engineering ,mechanics topic is really important. Mechanics will be a bit more difficult in the college level.
