The basic eligibility criteria for Phd in Biology requires a bachelor's degree in biology or in close related fields.So it depends upon college to college but surely you can apply for Phd in biology with Bsc microbiology degree.It is a reasearch degree so apply only if you are too good in the respective subject.

Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate studies
