Hi Suman

To calculate your 'Best Four' percentage, you can refer the link provided below -

https://university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks

Music will not be included in your best four percentage because it is not treated as academic/elective subject except for pursuing the course Music honours. Also, you must include the subject in your best four percentage that you wish to choose otherwise you'll face a deduction of 2.5%.

If you don't add one language and three elective subjects from the list, you may face the deduction upto 5% from your best four percentage.

The cut offs for B.A (Hons) Psychology remains high as it is the most sought after and popular course of Delhi University.
Keshav Mahavidalaya had 97% as its first cut off for this course which was closed at 94% in the eighth cut off for the previous year.

Thanks

Can I include English, Music, Informatics Practices and Physics as my Best Four Subjects to get admission in DU to pursue BA English Hons

Pankhuri Kumari 17th Sep, 2020
Hii!
See, the eligibility criteria for pursuing BA English Honors at Delhi University, states that the candidate must have scored atleast 50% marks in 10+2 with English as one of the compulsory subjects. Now, if we talk of subjects, the compulsory subjects are taken into account, however, you can include the other subjects such as music and Computers with deduction in marks/ percentage. So, if you are from science stream, your compulsory subjects would be PCM/B and english. So, check out the eligibility criteria properly before applying.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Can I include English, Music, Informatics Practices and Physics as my best four subjects to get admission in DU to pursue BA LLB Hons??

Shreya sharma 17th Sep, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Hope you're doing well.

Well, there is not a ba llb course offered by university of delhi. Rather, they offer a 3 year full time programme for law.

If you're talking about getting admission in BA, there are some core subjects which need to be recognized and used to calculate in the best four percentage. However, if you want to switch your subjects, for example music for chemistry, they'll consider it, but after deducting 2.5% from the best 4 percentage.

I hope my answer helps you.

All the best.

will I get admission in college when I fail in one subject over 6 subject. failed subject is accountancy and additional subject is music?

Kirti 1st Aug, 2020

It depends on the college's criterion. Some college wants you to just pass overall with a specific percentage. While there are some Colleges/entrance exams where the criteria is that you should have passed specific subjects with certain marks. So you should check with the college or the exams which you want you take.

Hello, What is Mixing And Mastering in Music Production and what are the Best Institutes in India from where I can learn it?

Akshita Paul 27th Jul, 2020

Hello,

Mixing is basically the step before Mastering in Music Production, that involves adjusting and combining of various individual tracks together in order to form a stereo audio file after the mixture. The stereo file is then mastered, which ensures that the various songs are clearly polished and form a united whole on an album. Mastering ensures that the track is ready for distribution.

Some of the best institutes in India where you can learn the same are:

  1. Beatworx Studio, Bangalore
  2. DJP Media, Bangalore
  3. Global Music Institute, Greater Noida
  4. K M College of Music and Technology, Chennai
  5. Seamedu School of Pro-Expressionism (Branches in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chandigarh)
  6. Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, Chennai
  7. The True School of Music, Mumbai
  8. Sri Aurobindo Center for Arts and Communication, New Delhi

Hope this helps!
