if l am unable to write NATA exam and i have registered it to KEAM exam will there any problem for other admission in keam(eng/pharmacy)

AJAY KUMAR POLAVENI 26th Jul, 2020
Hello aspirant!

Admission through KEAM B. Arch 2020 will be purely based on the performance of candidates in NATA 2020 and qualifying exam only. Authorities will not conduct any separate entrance exam for KEAM B.Arch. The Authorities will prepare the KEAM B.Arch 2020 rank list by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the NATA, conducted by the Council of Architecture, and the marks in the qualifying examination. The rank list of KEAM B.Arch 2020 will be published around the third week of June, which will be followed by online centralized counselling. The seat allotment of KEAM B.Arch 2020 will be placed under various categories like Keralite and non-Keralite candidates, with only the former eligible for reservation benefits. Read KEAM B.Arch 2020 to know details about the eligibility criteria, application filling process, counselling and more.

I hope this helps.

Hello there!

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level undergraduate exam which is conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to 5-year B.Arch and B.Planning programmes.

Through NATA 2020, candidates can get admission into B.Arch/B.Plan programme offered by Government, Government-aided, Private Unaided, University Departments and Deemed Universities of the country. Previously NATA was conducted once every year, but from 2019, the exam is conducted twice a year - first on April and the second on July.NATA 2020 application form was released on February 1 and was available till May 4 for second attempt.
For the first attempt, the registrations were open till April 15 (extended). However, the registration process has reopened for both attempts from July 25 to August 15, 2020. NATA 2020 first attempt has been postponed to August 29 and second attempt dates have not been announced. CoA has also made changes in
NATA syllabus for drawing test and also, the drawing test will now be held online. Students also have the option of appearing in test from home. The admit card of NATA 2020 for the two attempts is released separately. Candidates can appear in one or both the attempts of NATA 2020. If the candidate appears in both attempts, then best of the two scores will be considered. The eligibility criteria of NATA 2020 has also been changed, with diploma candidates currently no longer eligible for admission. The question paper of the exam has two parts- Part A (Drawing test) and Part B containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

since the drawing question paper pattern has been changed so the practice that we did all these year is all into vein!!!

swetaasnigdhha 24th Jul, 2020
Hii,

"Nothing that you have practiced or learnt goes in vein"

The drawing you have practiced for architecture exams won't go in vein. Yes , now there would be no drawing exams and you will not be judged on the basis of your drawing skills parameters. But the drawing skills that you have learnt and practiced didn't go in vein , it will help you in future in your architecture college. Surely for this exam it won't help you , but it will keep helping you throughout your degree and further too.

since the NATA examination has started students have been following a particular pattern all these years and now suddenly just because of the cause of COVID it is unfair to change the question paper pattern. How can someone judge the drawing/artistic skills of a person just by asking MCQs .

swetaasnigdhha 24th Jul, 2020
Hii Aspirant,

From past few months our country has gone through a lot of difficult situations and now too it's going through it. Even after many instructions and new rules made , the cases have been increasing. During this COVID pandemic many things have changed. Many colleges have cancelled their exams and are either giving admission on the basis of JEE marks or boards marks. Some exams are still being conducted as it would be difficult to choose the candidates for colleges without any parameters.

The papers can't be held normally as they were being held due to COVID-19. No one can judge one's drawing/artistic skills just by MCQs. And also you or any student won't be judged on the basis of your artistic skills. One parameter for judging you in exam is reduced.

It is not fair. Students have been preparing for so many exams and now either the pattern is changed or the papers have been cancelled. But nothing can be done regarding it. COVID has become a very serious affair and so to take care of it things are compromised. But don't feel disheartened, give your best and you will get a good college.

how many marks should I get in nata out off 200??

RUPA TEJASWI 21st Jul, 2020
Hello Asprint,
A minimum of 25% must be obtained in Drawing section (20 out of 80) A minimum of 25% should be secured in MCQs (30 out of 12) The qualifying marks out of 200 is formed on post exam statistics and at the deposition of the council/board.
A score around 120+ is considered to be good and must be the target score for most students.
Hope this information helps you!!
If you have any queries please let me!
Good Luck.

i have got 45%in pcm 12th science and overall I have scored 57 percent in 12th science can I get admission in architecture college? my nata is remaining.

Garvita 21st Jul, 2020
Hello,

The basic eligibility criteria to get admission in the bachelor of architecture degree is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with atleast 50% aggregates, where PCM are the mandatory subjects to have studied in class 12th, however there is a relaxation of 5% for reserved categories i.e. 45%.

The aspiring candidate should also have qualified NATA exam with atleast 80% marks.

Hope this helps, all the best.
