Hi,
Since your subject for Master's was English, you can only give NET/SET exam for English or related subjects.
You had one subject of Linguistics but it was not your specialization I assume. You are eligible for NET Linguistics only if you have completed your MA in Linguistics or any related field. Therefore you cannot give NET for Linguistics.
If you have any other query related to this, then do ask,
To appear for CSIR NET, engineering students have to complete their graduation, but for UGC NET, they must complete their MTech from their respective fields.
Since you have done MTech in Electronics and Communication (ECE), you are eligible for both the NET exams.
Some points to note here are-
UGC NET:
* The UGC-NET exam is required to be eligible for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor position at an Indian university.
* Candidates who have earned at least a 55 percent grade point average (PG) or its equivalent from an accredited institution can apply for UGC NET.
* UGC-NET is conducted in 81 subjects mainly for Arts, Commerce and language.
CSIR NET:
* Only 5 disciplines are included on the CSIR-NET exam for students in the science stream.
* MTech Electronics and Communication graduates can apply under CSIR-NET Physical Sciences category.
* To appear for the exam, the candidates must have completed or pursuing the M-Tech degree.
You can apply accordingly along with checking other criteria mentioned in the guidelines. Feel free to ask any more doubts!
Hello User,
Hope you are doing well.
Nutrition is included in the Home Science subject, so you can apply for the UGC NET exam with Home Science.
You should have masters’ degree to appear for the NTA NET exam with minimum 55% aggregate marks if they belong to General category or minimum 50% aggregate marks if they are from OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category. Candidates who are enrolled in the post-graduation can also apply for the UGC NET exam.
Aspirants must also follow age criteria for NET JRF i.e. 30 years. Reserved categories get the 5 years’ age relaxation.
For Assistant Professor there is no age criteria.

Hey
This is also known as Balance Sheet Method or Intrinsic Method or Break-up Value Method or Valuation of Equity basis or Asset Backing Method. Here the emphasis is on the safety of investment as the investors always need safety for their investments. Under this method, net assets of the company are divided by the number of shares to arrive at the net asset value of each share.
value of net asset is:
Total of realisable value of assets – Total of external liabilities = Net Assets (Intrinsic value of asset)
Under the Net Asset Method, the weightage is given on the safety of the investment. One, who invests money on shares, always needs safety. Even if the return is low, safety is always looked upon. At the same time under the yield method, the emphasis goes to the yield that an investor expects from his investment. The yield, here we mean, is the possible return that an investor gets out of his holdings—dividend, bonus shares, right issue. If the return is more, the price of the share is also more. Under this method the valuation of shares is obtained by comparing the expected rate of return with normal rate of return. For instance, if paid up value of a share is
Rs. 10 and expected rate of return is 9% while normal rate of return is 6%, then the value of shares will be Rs. 15.
As per the NET eligibility criteria, a person need to have completed a Masters in the discipline wishing to appear as NET paper/subject. So as you have BA and LLB degree but you haven't completed the MA course, you aren't eligible for the phD programs through NET.
