Hello,
Designing is an upcoming and demanding field and is gaining recognition faster than ever. Studying abroad does seem desirable but it is not entirely different from studying in your own country. Several Indian institutes ,not just NID offer amazing designing programs. Many Institutes in India have tie-ups with international universities and study abroad programs which will give you the exposure required for an undergraduate degree.
Studying abroad for an UG degree also requires a lot of capital ,so instead of spending that money for UG , you can save up for PG/higher studies abroad which will be of much more use. As long as you choose study and work hard, choose a good college with experiential learning then from where you study NID or NAFA or Lasalle or UAL it doesn't matter.
For a career in fashion designing, NIFT is the best college in India, which also has its own entrance exam that is NIFT since it is the National Institute of Fashion Technology and only caters in the field of fashion.
NID is also the best college in India which caters to all other aspects of designing except Fashion.
AIEED is the All India Entrance Examination for Design, it is only an exam where you give the exam, get your score , apply to design colleges accepting AIEED scores and according to your marks you will be given admission. AIEED is of no use to NIFT and NID since these two colleges have their own entrance exams.
Therefore I suggest that you go for NIFT if you want a career in Fashion Designing. Also try for private fashion designing colleges such as Pearl Academy, ISDI, ARCH College, SOFT College, MIT ADT University, SRISHTI, UID.
All the best!
NID admission procedure 2021 is such that applicants want to first seem for NID DAT (Prelims) that is a written front check . Aspirants who get shortlisted on the premise in their overall performance in NID DAT Prelims then want to seem for NID DAT (Mains) that is the studio test round. NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is taken into consideration to be one of the hardest design entrance tests carried out in the country and so it's far extraordinarily crucial that aspirants maintain few matters in thoughts while formulating the NID prep plan.

Hello Aspirant,
The qualifying percentile will be 50 for open category, 45 for OBC-NCL and 40 for SC, ST and PwD categories. Only those candidates will be called for the next stage of admission those will secure the cut off marks. People also get selected by scoring just 56-57 from general category for the first phase. Interview and studio test matters in final selection. For SC ST its even less. And for PH category is lesser.
You can also consider your score to check whether you can get admission in the institution or not.
