Hello there!
If you have got an enrollment in the Master's program now your current degree's score will be taken abd talked ahead.
You can clear NET JRF or GATE or IIT-JAM etc for the same.
One your clear JRF you will become eligible for doing research and also teaching.
Like that you can fill your dream of becoming a physicist.
Good Luck!
Hello,
After completing your BTech, you can take the JAM or JEST physics examinations. After passing JAM, you can apply for an MSc at IIT. You will be eligible for interviews for integrated PhD programmes in research institutes if you pass JEST.
These examinations can also be used to apply for integrated PhD programmes in IISERs.
After completing BTech, many people have gone on to become great theoretical physicists.
It is a myth that Engineers cannot become physicists. All you need is a passion for the topic and the willingness to put in the effort to master higher maths.
Hope it helped
All the best
Hello Ankan,
You can take science as your major subjects ( Physics, chemistry and mathematics) for your 10+2 education. Then continue your education with a graduation in Physics you can go for the conventional BSc Physics degree or an integrated five year MSc physics course after you can go for a PhD in physics which could also be an integrated course in case you are applying after your Bachelors degree (MSc + PhD).
Best colleges for theoretical physics are given below
HRI, Allahabad
TIFR, Mumbai
International centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS)
IIT, Kanpur
SINP, Kolkata
IIT Kharagpur
IIT Madras
Hope this helps and Good luck
hi,
