Prachi Kumari 12th Apr, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you are eligible for NEET 2027. For the SC category, you need at least 40% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Your marks (33 in Physics, 51 in Chemistry, and 62 in Biology) total 146, which is above the required percentage. Make sure you also meet the age requirement by the specified date.

Hope it helps !

Riya Dhoot 27th Mar, 2025

Hello Rishabh,

while many BASLP programs prefer candidates with biology some institutions may consider applicants from other science streams if you meet their overall eligibility criteria. its essential to check the specific admission requirements of the institutes you are interested in, you mmight also explore bridge courses or preparatory modules to cover necessary biology concepts if required.

i want to ask that if i have opted for cuet for bca course and i am from pcb background and without computer science in 12th so i have opted physics , chem , and biology as domain subject so should i replace chem with bio?

Prachi Kumari 29th Mar, 2025

Hey Madhu !

It depends on the eligibility criteria of the university you are applying to. Some universities may prefer Mathematics or Computer Science for BCA, while others might accept any three subjects. Since you are from a PCB background, it is better to check the specific university requirements.

If the university allows any three subjects, you can keep Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. But if they prefer a different combination, you may consider replacing Chemistry with Biology if needed.

Hope it helps !

I passed out HS exam in 1998.I took physics honours, but in final exam 2002 my honurs is no more.i am b.sc pass graduate.now i want to take mater degree in math.what can i do??

Devanshi Goyal 26th Mar, 2025

You completed your B.Sc. with a pass degree, and now you want to pursue a Master's degree in Mathematics. Here's a general guide for you:

  1. Entry Requirements for M.Sc. Mathematics :-Many universities may require a background in mathematics, but since you took Physics honors, there may be some overlap in subjects such as mathematical physics, calculus, and linear algebra.
  2. Mathematical Background:-If your B.Sc. didn’t cover the required mathematics topics, you can take bridge courses in subjects like calculus, algebra, and real analysis. Many universities and online platforms like Coursera, edX, or Khan Academy offer these courses.
  3. Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate :-Some universities offer postgraduate diplomas or certificates in Mathematics or related fields.
  4. Entrance Exams:-Some universities may require you to pass an entrance exam for admission into their M.Sc. Mathematics program.

If you want me to suggest some universities kindly let me know in the comment section.

Physics gate score 258 SC -Category m.sci physics 72% can I get admission in m tech nano technology in IITs any scope

Prachi Kumari 24th Mar, 2025

Hello,

With a GATE score of 258 in the SC category and a 72% in your M.Sc. in Physics, securing admission to M.Tech. programs in Nanotechnology at IITs is challenging. Based on previous years' data, IITs typically have higher cutoff scores for M.Tech. admissions , even for reserved categories.

For instance, the GATE cutoff for SC candidates in various disciplines at IIT Madras has often been significantly higher than your current score.

which NIT can I get with 95.52 percentile for msc in physics integrated course. I belong to general category, male and west bengal is my home state.

Prachi Kumari 24th Mar, 2025

Hello,

With a 95.52 percentile in JEE Main, your approximate rank would be around 39,000. Based on previous years' data, you have a good chance of securing admission to the Integrated M.Sc. in Physics program at NIT Rourkela . For instance, in 2023, the closing rank for this program was 56,283.

NIT Warangal also offers a similar program , with the 2024 closing rank for the Home State quota being 36,199

However, since your home state is West Bengal, you would be considered under the Other State quota for NIT Warangal, where the closing rank was 12,918.  Therefore, admission to NIT Warangal might be more competitive for you
