I have 6 subjects in CBSE and got RT in Physics and Chemistry. This year, I am sitting for Chemistry compartment and replacing Physics to officially pass 12th standard. Next year, can I sit for CBSE improvement for my failed Physics exam? I want to appear for JEE 2027. Will there be any issues?

i got RT in physics and it is considered as additional subject for me and overall it is given as pass now am i not eligible to pursue btech cse through cuet exam 2026 or i have to write the supply for physics

Hey,

Yes, for BTech CSE you must pass Physics because engineering courses require PCM eligibility. Even if your overall result says “Pass,” a compartment/RT in Physics can still make you ineligible during university document verification.

So the safest and most important thing is to clear the Physics supplementary/compartment exam first.
