i have attemped for 480 marks in neet mds..the level of the exam was such that most of my time got wasted in reading the questions. Is it the same for everyone?what can be expected cutoff?

Thachu 21st Dec, 2019

100% true

Most of the questions were very lengthy and of course required more time for reading.

Practicing lengthy questions helps us but when most questions are lengthy the time management was difficult.

hy this is Sam from India, i have compeleted my graduation in 2015 and now i,m doing a job in a company for 4 years. i have over all 6 bands in IELTS (Listening 6, speaking 6, writing 6, reading 5.5) am i elegible for UK study visa? please let me know

Kanupriya Gupta 28th Jan, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

A 6 band indicates competent English. It implies that you are good at English but you perform good in the situations you know well, while in other situations which are unfamiliar or specialised, you face difficulty. So, that means you are eligible but it depends upon the job you are applying for or the university you are applying for. But your scores are pretty good for the same.

Hope this helps. All the best!

I am a neet 2021 student reading in aakash institute . I get 353 marks in my latest aiats . can I get govt medical seat in Delhi with state domicile . what should my marks in neet 2021 just predict that

Srijika Bhattacharyya 24th Jan, 2020

Hello,

The neet cutoff in Delhi is very high and last year it was:

561-RML college and hospital

489- LHMC

171-UCMS

32-MAMC

157-VMMC

These are cutoffs based on rank of state counselling. A score above 600 is safe to get a college in Delhi. However it depends on number of students writing the exam, difficulty level of the paper. AIATS is more difficult than generic neet papers and most students get better marks in NEET. However, work hard and improve your score to 570+ as you still have time.

All the best!

did UPSC require reading of all books from 10th standard to 12th standard?? please give me over view about this!!!

Sanjay Khandelwal 8th Dec, 2019
See UPSC is an commission, it is not an exam. UPSC conducts various exams CDS, NDA, Civil Services etc. And i think you are talking about Civil services exam, for that or any exam conducted by UPSC, they ask questions which sometimes do come from those. Because these books of NCERT will make your base strong. Basically it is asked to read from 6th till 12th. But it is upto you. But from 10th till 12th you should read. They will be helpful for any upsc exam you are preparing for.

You need to have a good grasp on the English language. You need to read more written materials in English to strengthen your grasp on the language. You can also practice on similar passages which are available online.

sir/mam Iam reading 12th with private candidate. Now I can give the NEET entance exam .

Pankhuri Kumari 26th Nov, 2019

Dear student

This is a normal approach. Many students apply in schools as private candidates and meanwhile do coaching for competitive exams. You can apply for neet. There's no problem in this. In your application form you can fill the name of your school and there's an option to apply even if your results are not out for class 12th. You can update your marks after the results. But see that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria. Go for it.

All the best.

should wo answer varc section before reading the passage?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Nov, 2019

There are 2 rules when we attempt VARC section.

Rule no:1: Never answer a question before reading the question. No matter whether we have speaking in English all our life or we have been religiously following Shahsi Tharoor on Twitter, there is a whole lot that we need to learn and one of them is English is a complicated language.

Rule no: 2: Never break Rule no.1. We go to the exam hall with confidence because we have grown up speaking in English all our lives. And the Question might be "Who is NOT the current Prime Minister of India and you are given 4 options. Now the brain is a tricky organ. It picks what it wants to leaves what it feels is unncecessary. We know the answer that Mr. Modi is the Prime Minister of India and we do not waste any further time in choosing the option against Mr. Modi's name. Now what did you miss by not reading the question? "NOT" That single word changes the answer in a whole different way and lets say even if you attempt 5 such questions from VARC, am afraid it is a dent in your score. So never read the answers and assume the question. That is one of the most deterrent way to lose out on marks.

Here, we shall try to help you to prepare for VARC section effectively.
