My dob is sep10 1999. Am I eligible for rbi grade b 2020 in terms of age?

Hello

RBI Grade B age limit is 21 to 30 years for general category candidates. To apply for the post of RBI Grade B 2020, the candidate should be a minimum of 21 years of age. He/she should not exceed 30 years as on 1st January 2020.

So your age should be 21 on 1st january 2020 to be eligible for the examination.

All the Officers selected through RBI Grade B 2019 Exam will be given the annual salary of 12-14 Lac. Along with this CTC comes numerous emoluments and perks. The Pay Scale for the RBI grade B Officer is Rs. 35150-1750(9)-50900-EB-1750(2)-54400-2000(4)-62400.

Maximum number of attempts for General Category is six times for Phase-I Examination. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD, if the posts are reserved for them.

RBI Grade B Officers Recruitment 2018: Eligibility Criteria


1. Nationality: The candidates who wish to apply for this exam must be either-


A citizen of India

A subject of Nepal or Bhutan

Tibetan Refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement

Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.


Note: Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor.


2. Age Limits:


The minimum age limit to apply for this exam is 21 years, whereas the upper age limit is 30 years. For candidates with M.Phil. Degree, the upper age limit is 32 years and for candidates holding Ph.D. Degree, it is 34 years.


Age Relaxation:


For SC/ST – 5years


For OBC –3 years


For Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Employee of Banking Institutions –5 years


3. Minimum Educational Qualification:


For Officers in Gr B (DR) General: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade along with 60% marks or equivalent in 12th and 10th standard. The minimum percentage is the total of all the marks obtained in all the semesters.


For Officers in Gr B (DR) DEPR: A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance with a minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). The minimum percentage is the total of all the marks obtained in all the semesters.


Candidates having Master’s Degree along with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute will be eligible for upper age limit relaxation up to a maximum of three years.


For Officers in Gr B (DR) DSIM:


(a) A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the aggregate of all the semesters; OR


(b) Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the aggregate of all semesters/years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed institute; OR


(c) M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate of all semesters/years; OR


(d) Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the aggregate of all semesters/years.


Candidates having Master’s Degree along with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/ Institute will be eligible for upper age limit relaxation up to a maximum of three years.

Hello,

Candidates should fulfill the following criteria to apply for RBI Grade B exam.

1) Age Eligibility

The minimum required age is 21 years and maximum age 30 years as on 1st July 2020 to be eligible for RBI Grade B Exam. If a candidate possesses M.Phil and Ph.D. degree, the upper age limits in these cases are 32 and 34 years respectively.

2) RBI Grade B (General) Educational Qualification

People must have least 60% minimum (for ST/SC/PWD, half) or identical grade in Bachelor’s degree, 12th (Diploma or equivalent ) and 10th.

RBI Officer Grade B exam consists of Phase 1 and Phase 2 exams, following are the details:

  • Phase 1- Objective- 200 MCQs- 120 minutes- English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning
  • Phase 2 is a Combination of Objective and Descriptive papers. Paper 1 - Economic and Social Issues is objective, Paper 2 -English (Writing Skills) is descriptive and Paper 3 -Finance and Management is objective in nature.
