Hope this helps you,

Question:
Select the most appropriate option to fill in the blank number 5.

Option 1: repairing

Option 2: removing

Option 3: healing

Option 4: praying

Team Careers360 27th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: repairing

Solution : The correct choice is the first option.

The word repairing is appropriate in this context because it indicates that the local villagers discovered the inscription while they were engaged in the process of fixing or restoring the local Bheemeshwara temple.

The meanings of the other words are:

  • Removing: This means to take away or take off from the position occupied.
  • Praying: This means to offer prayers or engage in a religious or spiritual act of communication with a deity.
  • Healing: This means causing something to become healthy or sound; restoring to health.
Therefore, the complete sentence would be: "The inscription came to light when some local villagers informed the authorities of the presence of a pillar with some engravings when they were restoring and repairing the local Bheemeshwara temple."

Select the most appropriate option to fill in the blank number 3.

Option 2: on

Option 3: In

Option 4: at

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: In

Solution : The correct choice is the third option.

Option 1: refused

Option 2: chased

Option 3: issued

Option 4: denied

Team Careers360 21st Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: issued

Solution : The correct choice is the third option.

The word issued is appropriate in this context because it suggests that the inscription was officially released or authorised by Satavahana King Vijaya. It implies that the king played a role in making the inscription in a public or official way.

The meanings of other words are:

  • Refused: This means to indicate an unwillingness to do, accept, give, or allow something.
