The Indian government has launched the INSPIRE scholarship, which stands for Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research and this is to encourage students to study science. This initiative aims to financially assist students who want to pursue careers in science.
Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in basic sciences are eligible for the Inspire scholarship. To be eligible for an inspire scholarship, one must meet the eligibility requirements ( generally top 1 per cent students of each state board are eligible). It is valid for five years. The scholarship amount is 80,000 per year, but they only award 60,000. The remaining funds will be used for a summer internship.

Eligibility criteria for inspire scholarship is as follows:
Candidates who have secured JEET or NEET rank upto 10000 ranks are eligible to apply for inspire scholarships.
Top 1% meritorious students of 10+2 course of any central or state education board are eligible for apply in inspire scholarship.
Candidates who fulfill above criteria and currently enrolled in Bsc,MSc. In basic and natural science are also eligible for inspire scholarship.
Candidates should be between age of 17-22 years.
If you meet above eligibility criteria then you can apply for inspire scholarship.

There are many central scholarship schemes that can be availed by students from ST category.
Scholarship Division of Ministry of Tribal Affairs ( Government of India) provides financial assistance to States/ Individual beneficiaries/ Institutes as per schematic norms.
Here i have mentioned few scholarship schemes you might avail -
• National Scholarship Scheme (Top Class) For Higher Education of ST Students-
This is a Central Sector Scheme fully funded and implemented by Central Govt. Scholarship is given to ST students for pursuing higher studies in prescribed courses in any of the 246 Premier Institutes of Country like IITs, AIIMS, IIMs, NIITs, etc. identified by the Ministry . Preference is given to girls, Divyang and PVTGs.
• Scholarship is given to 1000 fresh students every year, selected on merit based on marks of class XII.
• The Scholarship is given for entire duration of the course pursued by the student.
• Family income from all sources should not exceed Rs.6.00 lakhs per annum.
• Scholarship amount includes tuition fees, living expenses and allowances for books and computer

• National Fellowship Scheme For Higher Education of ST Students
This is a Central Sector Scheme fully funded and implemented by Central Govt for pursuing MPhil and PhD in following:
- Universities/Institutions/Colleges included under section 2(f) /12(B) or 2(D) and 12(B) of UGC Act
- Deemed to be Universities included under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and eligible to receive grants-in-aid from UGC.
- Universities/ Institutions/ Colleges funded by Central/ State Government.
- Institutes of National Importance.
Features of this scholarship are as following-
• Scholarship is provided to 750 fresh ST students every year each year for pursing M Phil and PhD selected on merit based on marks of Master Degree.
• Preference is given to girls, Divyangan and PVTGs.
• Fellowship for M.Phil is provided @ Rs. 25000/- per month and for Ph.D @ Rs.28000/- per month.
• Contingency and HRA Allowance is also given to fellows as per guidelines.

As you haven't specified any reservation category, for TS epass scholarship, I'm mentioning, the amount given for each reserved category.
For Bc/BE category, INR 1.05 lakhs,(for rural area); INR 2 lakhs (for urban area).
For SC/ST category, INR 2 lakhs, both for rural as well as urban areas.

The fees structure of pondicherry engineering college is as follows:-

National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship is a Centrally sponsored scholarship scheme. It is implemented by the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the objective to financially support the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society. NMMS encourages disadvantaged students to continue their studies at the secondary level by offering a scholarship amount of INR 12,000 per annum. Every year, this MCM scholarship is made active during the month of November and almost 100,000 scholarships are disbursed among bright students.
There is eligibility criteria for NMMS: Regular students of class 9 with a score of 55% marks in class 8 final exam. Application process is general starts in months of August-November. And whole details and registration can be done through the official government portal NSP. So that dropout rate of students at Class 8 will decrease and encourage them to continue their education at the secondary level.
