Summary Table
Yes, a science student can definitely appear for the entrance exam for a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program in the Arts stream. Most B.Ed. programs require candidates from various academic backgrounds, including science, arts, and commerce, to apply for different subject specializations according to their interests and eligibility.
In India, B.Ed. entrance exams do not restrict candidates based on their original graduation stream but rather allow them to choose the subject they wish to teach. A science graduate can opt for the Arts stream subject specialization such as English, Social Studies, or any other arts-related subject offered by the institution. However, it is often required that the candidate has studied the subject (or a related one) either at graduation or at the higher secondary level, so checking the specific eligibility criteria of the B.Ed. college or university is important.
Most universities conducting B.Ed. entrance exams provide a list of subjects available for specialization and detail the requirements for each subject. Science students switching to arts subjects may sometimes need to meet additional prerequisites or undergo bridge courses, but generally, the transition is allowed.
Thus, science students have the flexibility to give entrance exams for B.Ed. courses in arts stream subjects, provided they fulfill the subject-specific eligibility. It is recommended to carefully review the exam notification and eligibility standards of the desired B.Ed. provider to ensure compliance with all requirements for admission.

Yes Sumit, UP Board Social Science (Class 10) model papers in Hindi medium are allowed for preparation, because the board itself releases them to help students understand the official exam pattern and format. You can download and practice these model papers at home for revision, time management, and to get an idea of the types of questions.
But remember, in the exam hall, only the official question paper given by the board will be provided — you cannot carry the model paper inside.
So, model papers are allowed for practice, not during the actual exam. Regular practice with them will definitely boost your confidence and improve your performance.
Hi,
R.R. Mehta college opened its admission portal for the academic year of 2025-2026 on 18th August. And, the admission takes place on first come first serve basis.
As for now, the application form for science is available in their website. That means that admission is open till now. But there's no guarantee that the seats will remain vacant till the month of September.
The best thing to do is contact the college and get information on seat vacancy and admission during the month of September.
All the best!
You can still try for admission in RR Mehta Science Colleg e in September. But it depends on seat availability and the college’s admission rules. You should visit the college office or contact them directly to confirm.
