Hi, I am an NRI student who has completed A level examination in Singapore, which is equivalent to the 12th exam in India. As of code 7 in NEET Eligibility Criteria 2021, am I eligible to attend NEET 2021?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 27th Dec, 2020

Yeah! Obviously you can sit for NEET provided that you should have score above 50% marks atleast to cross the eligibility criteria in A level examination & you age must be less than 25 years.

This are the basic eligibility criteria and I dont find any loop holes here which can create any ineligible arguement.

I hope my answer helps you. All the very best for your future endeavors!

Hi, there

I hope you are doing well and still determined to accomplish your goal. I would like to tell you that there is no way to delete the gap area. But all you can do it is- try to get more experience through different internships, research work , and if you can JOB.

Mostly foreign universities give preferences to on-hand experience rather just on diplomas and degrees.

Best Wishes!!!

How much should be my all India rank in GATE exam in order to get a seat in National University of Singapore? ( Heard some seeds in and US is being filled by considering GATE score)?

Pakshal Ghiya 5th Nov, 2020

Actually they don't expect you to be topper in GATE..they want only 90 percentile which means even if you clear GATE with just 1 or 2 marks more than cut off you also can get the call. They don't care about your score or rank . It's just to be shortlisted in 1st round then they will judge you by your overall profile. So, it really means nothing if you get 99.99 or 91 percentile. Next step is important . As far I've heard good profile means

  1. GOOD GPA(>8.00)
  2. CLASS 10 & 12 MARKS
  3. PUBLICATIONS
  4. WORK EXP
  5. SOP
  6. LORs
  7. ACTIVITIES
  8. TOEFL SCORE(>90 )
  9. INTERNSHIPS
  10. CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS RESEARCH
  11. PRIOR RESEARCH EXP
  12. PROJECTS

Actually with GATE score anyone just only can apply for M.Engg both in NUS NTU so they really care a lot about your prior research exp.

sir/mam, can you suggest me which place (germany or singapore) should I choose for better mbbs studies...

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 26th Sep, 2020

Thanks A2A @shetrashaji7 !

In Germany, the fees are subsidized i.e, the fees are affordable for an Indian student to bear. But unfortunately, you will have to undergo a rigorous two and a half years of language course in India on German language and pass it and then apply for an university in Germany with your essays. So the total course period including preparatory time is 9 years, the MBBS course in Germany is usually conducted in German language. But Germany is so far one of the favourite destinations of Indian students to study MBBS and continues to do so!

On the other hand, getting admission in a Singapore Medical School is highly competitive and not many Indian students are able to get admission easily. There are many good colleges of Medical Sciences. In fact it can be said that it is one of the best country which shows one of the best way of medical sciences. You can apply through Entrance examination. The medical course is conducted in English at a high international level over a long period (5 years + 1 year housemanship for undergraduate, 4+1 for Duke-NUS) and is extremely arduous.

Finally it's your choice! Please keep in mind to find colleges that are approved by MCI in the countries you are interested to practice medicine in. Please visit the link below to find more information (it is the official website of MCI)

Hope this helps:)

which will be better 1. Doing government job in India or 2. Doing masters in abroad like Singapore and Canada and settle there ?

Kanith Sawkar 16th Sep, 2020

Hey aspirant,

This depends on your preferences and how you would want to live your life. Both the choices have their own benefits but it depends on what you would prefer.

A government job in India is a matter of prestige and one of the best ways to serve our nation, by working for the welfare of our country. You would have to clear competitive exams like UPSC, Railway Recruitment Board exams, GATE, RBI Grade B etc., which requires a lot of dedication and hardwork. It also comes with a lot of benefits like assured pension, CGHS insurance etc.

If you want to explore new places and settle abroad, then opting for postgraduate courses overseas is also a great idea. Keep in mind you will have to sacrifice and adjust a lot to a new lifestyle, which can be completely different from Indian lifestyle. The perks are higher standard of living, better wages and much more. In case you get homesick easily, don't choose this option.

In the end, it all depends on how you would want to spend the rest of your life.

Hope it helps. All the best!

i have studied 1-10th in Singapore and then did diploma in Human Resource Management in Singapore Now i am comming back to chennai for degree. Am i elligible to join law?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 28th Jul, 2020

hi,

see clat exam is a popular exam in india for law, clat exam held in different course.

clat ug course

clat pg course.

eligibility criteria for clat ug course is  Candidates who have passed their Senior Secondary School Examination/ 12th Board Examination can apply.candidate must secure a  minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT 2020. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks. There is no age limit for appearing in CLAT 2020 for UG program.

now there is many law colleges in india which offers admission based on 12th score or equivalent exam score. however you did not complete 12th course which makes you not eligible to many of the colleges.

now if your diploma course is equivalent with the 12th course or Intermediate course then only you are eligible to apply.

hope you may understand.
