Monalisa Das 28th Jul, 2021

Hello !

It's never too late to start.

The most important thing to do is to prepare a standard and smart time-table for yourself and follow the schedule strictly.

Here are some of the strategies to clear JEE mains :-

1.Start your preparations with NCERT books - NCERT is the most important book to cover. Clear all your basic concepts in Physics,Chemistry and Maths from NCERTs. Most of the questions in JEE Mains are asked from NCERT books. However NCERTs have some difficult concepts as well which will take time. So you can prefer Pradeep's Fundamental Physics and Chemistry for 11th and 12th for easy understanding.

2.After NCERTs and Pradeep, start with H.C Verma in Physics and give mock tests. In case of Chemistry you can go for GRB publication books.

3.For Maths, after NCERT,try to finish the important chapters from R.D Sharma or the chapters in which you are good from R.D Sharma. Since R.D Sharma can't be finished easily in short span of time. So go with the chapters you can do well or the chapters which will cover important topics.

4.Give a lot of mock tests and revise well before the exam.

5. Subscribe to a good coaching centre. Appear the mock tests they provide regularly. Clear your concepts and ask doubts to your mentors or go for online clarifications of doubts. Prepare well from the materials they provide you for the preparations.

6. Check last 5 years JEE questions to understand the pattern and difficulty level. Determine your weak and strong areas from these papers. Prepare accordingly.

Have patience and study calmly. You can do it . Perseverance and determination are highly recommended.

All the best !

jsos is valid board ?? there are no problem in future..plzz tell me..there are many romurs in social media ..is it wright or fake news plzz help me..

Anurag Khanna 24th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See JSOS stands for Jharkhand State Open School board and it is responsible for conducting board exams for classes 10th and 12th at state level for Jharkhand state. There are many rumors spreading around on social media that JSOS is no more valid but the fact is it is an government recognized board recognized by Government of Jharkhand and there is no any official notification for any kind of dissolvement of that board so don't worry if you have passed out you classes from that board.

Don't believe on rumors.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

I was good in my school days in my studies but now at degree college, I am not the same guy, and unable to focus because I feel boredom quickly, and scroll through social media, what to do, feeling stuck?

DrTeeth 17th Nov, 2020

1. Try the pomodoro technique:

This means that when you sit to study, don't make up your mind to study all day long. Study in sessions. Many students (like me) go by the 25:5 method. This means that you study for 25 minutes and take a break for 5 minutes. This does not have to be 25:5, you can make it 40:10 or even 1 hour : 20 minutes.

2. Make a daily or weekly plan and stick to it

If you plan realistically, you will stick to a schedule. This is why weekly plans works better. Sit down on sundays and take out 2-3 hours everyday initially to plan what you need to study. Even if you lag behind one day, you can adjust it in the week

3. Give yourself incentives for hard work

Keep your mindset this way- 25 minutes of study= 5 minutes of instagram/ whatever social media you use. If you reward yourself, chances are you will work more hard

4. Out of site is out of mind

If you do not want your cell phone to disturb you while you study, keep it far enough to make you not want to leave the comfort of your seat. Also, separate your "fun" space from your "work" space.

5. Keep a distraction journal

The human mind wanders away easily. A trick I have learnt is to keep a diary with me all the time so that i can write down whatever non-study related comes to my mind to get it out of my system and get focused again. Half of these things will be unnecessary when you read them in your 5 minute break and thank yourself that you continued studying.

May we stay away from social media for that 1 year of preparation of neet Or should manage it ?

kritiesse 12th Oct, 2020

hello aspirant,

being a student who also gave NEET once, this question is very common and some students also invest in button Nokia phones for less hassle. It is quite a big misconception though that people who go off social media score the highest. It actually depends on your mindset and how you manage your time. I, although, did go off social media for quite some different reasons. I had peers who were active on social media and yet got good marks because they knew and understood how to divide their time.

At the end of the day, if you're diligent enough to focus and Pass NEET, not even social media can stop you. But if you think, it distracts you from studying efficiently for minimum 5hours, you need to rethink your decision.

Hope this helped. good luck for your future!
