My daughter cleared MDS NEET -25 with score 405 , n interested in oral surgery . Please suggest which deem universitys give her confirm seat in Maharashtra

gopi 20th May, 2025

Hello Mr. Rajesh,

Congratulations to your daughter on passing NEET MDS 2025 with a mark of 405! From the trend of cutoffs of previous years, a mark of 405 is a good mark for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery MDS in deemed universities, particularly in the management quota.

Some of the deemed universities in Maharashtra where she could have good chances of getting through are:

  1. DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai

  2. Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College, Pune

  3. Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha

  4. Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune

last year i didnt pay 2nd sem exam fees Bca because i had emergency surgery so the college cancelled my admission so now this year i went to college to take admission for same course Bca from 1st sem but they are saying now you are not allowed to same course Bca you can take other course

Devanshi Goyal 1st May, 2025

HELLO,

Since you missed paying the 2nd semester exam fees last year because of emergency surgery, the college canceled your BCA admission. Now when you went to take admission again in the same course (BCA), they are not allowing you. They are asking you to take a different course.

Why this is happening:

  • The college may have a rule that if a student’s admission is canceled once, they cannot take the same course again.

  • Their system or policy might block it.

What you can do:

  1. Explain your situation in writing  include your medical documents.

  2. Talk to the Principal or Head of Department  request them to allow you back in BCA.

  3. If the college is part of a university, go to the university office and ask for help.

I have critical heart problem where Ive had 3 major open heart surgeries in AIIMS since the age of 2 and its not curable. I have proper documents of every surgery and everything. Am I eligible for disability quota in jee mains and advance?

kumardurgesh1802 20th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

Yes, you may be eligible for the PwD (Persons with Disability) quota in JEE Mains and Advanced , but it depends on the percentage of disability mentioned in your disability certificate issued by a government-authorized medical board.

Here are the steps to Check Eligibility:

  1. Medical Certification – You need a valid disability certificate from a government hospital stating 40% or more disability to qualify for the PwD quota.

  2. Disability Criteria – Heart conditions are not explicitly listed under PwD categories in JEE, but if your condition significantly affects daily functioning, you may qualify.

  3. JEE Guidelines – The final decision will be based on the medical board assessment during JEE verification.

    Next steps you should do:
  • Get your disability certificate from a government medical board.
  • Check if it states 40% or more disability as per the RPwD Act, 2016 .
  • If eligible, select the PwD category while filling out the JEE form and upload the required documents.

It’s best to consult a government hospital or JEE helpline for confirmation based on your specific case.

can I assist surgeon during surgery after doing MSC cardiovascular technology?

kumardurgesh1802 12th Feb, 2025

Hello Himanshi,

Yes, after completing an M.Sc. in Cardiovascular Technology , you can assist surgeons during cardiovascular surgeries, but your role will be as a perfusionist or cardiovascular technologist , not as a primary surgical assistant.

Your Role in Surgery:

  1. Operating the heart-lung machine and monitoring blood circulation.
  2. Assisting in angioplasty, bypass surgeries, and valve replacements.
  3. Monitoring vital parameters during surgery.
  4. Providing technical support to surgeons and anesthetists.

    Limitations:
  • You cannot perform surgeries or make incisions like a surgeon.
  • To become a surgical first assistant , you would need additional training in surgical technology or a medical degree (MBBS + MS/MCh).

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

i wanted to ask..i had a cataract surgery when i was 5 years old so right now i have a multifocal lens in my right eye while my right is 6/6 without any issues so am i eligible for state police and crpf/bsf/capf

Prachi Kumari 8th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Your eligibility for State Police, CRPF, BSF, and CAPF depends on their medical standards. Here’s a general assessment:

  1. State Police – Vision requirements vary by state. Many allow corrected vision if one eye is 6/6 and the other meets minimum standards. Check your state’s specific guidelines.

  2. CRPF/BSF/CAPF – As per medical standards, distant vision should be 6/6 or 6/9 in one eye and 6/9 or 6/12 in the other. Corrected vision with surgery is often disqualified.

  3. Multifocal Lens Issue – Artificial lens implantation may be a disqualification in paramilitary forces.

  4. Recommendation – Check official recruitment notifications or undergo a pre-medical consultation.

Hope it helps !

Hello Snehal,

Your eligibility for State Police, CRPF, BSF, and CAPF depends on their medical standards for vision . Since you had cataract surgery and have a multifocal lens , let's analyze:

1. CRPF/BSF/CAPF Vision Standards

  • Minimum unaided vision required: 6/6 or 6/9 in the better eye and 6/9 or 6/12 in the worse eye.

  • Corrected vision (with glasses/lens) : Allowed up to 6/6 in both eyes .

  • Cataract surgery/history of eye disease : Usually a disqualification , but some cases may be considered fit after proper medical examination .

  • Multifocal lens implants : May lead to medical rejection as it affects depth perception and night vision.

    2. State Police Vision Standards

  • Varies by state, but most require unaided vision of at least 6/9 or 6/12 in each eye .

  • Lens implantation may lead to rejection in some states, but some allow it if vision is normal.

    Final Verdict

  • If your right eye is 6/6 without issues , you might be eligible.

  • Since you have a multifocal lens in the left eye , your acceptance depends on the specific medical board decision .

  • You should check the official medical guidelines of the respective force and consult a medical officer before applying.
