In the government sector, a fresher can get the RS.10,000 to RS.12,000 per month, while in the private sector; a newly joined person can get RS.15,000 to RS.25,000 per month. The salary will rise according to your practical experience and skills.

yes a candidate can definitely get an admission into textile engineering as a lateral entry after the candidate completes his or her diploma from the respective relevant field. for getting an admission the candidate just need to create an entrance exam that a call its conducts and with some colleges they directly give the admission based on the candidates marks and the diploma.

Textile engineering is all about designing a piece of fibre ,textile and apparel processing. This is a diverse and rapid growing field. In order to pursue this field, you need to have passed 12th board with mathematics, physics and chemistry as your core subjects to do Btech in textile engineering. The duration of UG degree is 4 years. The btech may vary from inr 30,000 to 1,50,000.

After completing Diploma, You can apply for B.tech second year directly ( Lateral Entry) programme. There are many colleges offer lateral Entry programme, Each college has different criteria for the admission to programme.
Diploma students can also apply for JEE Main Entrance Exam but after qualifying JEE Main Entrance Exam, They need to apply for JEE Advance as they will be eligible to get admission in IITs only in the first year of B.tech programme.
As per the eligibility to apply for JEE Main, they should be passed AICTE or State board of technical education recognised Diploma of at least 3 years duration. You can check the complete eligibility with the given below link.

Admission procedure:(Lateral entry)
Twenty percent of the total intake is filled-in from Lateral Entry candidates in the 3rd semester through JELET.
Admission through Lateral Entry to the 2nd year (3rd semester level) of the undergraduate degree courses, candidates who have either passed diploma course in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy from any AICTE recognised Polytechnic / Institute with at least overall 50% marks (45% for reserved category) or have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject and Degree in Science (B.Sc.) from U.G.C. approved Universities with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category).The aforesaid candidates will be eligible for admission to degree courses based on the merit position in the JELET conducted by the "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board"
Eligibilty criteria:
The candidate should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology.

It all depends on how you approach to the courses, competitions, and research. If you want to excel in Textile Engineering, you must be serious about the courses taught as well as the research projects that they may do under various professors. Each summer (2 months) and winter (1 month) offers you the opportunity to explore more. Apart from that, there are some core companies who come to hire bright textile engineers.
Coming to the placements, as usual the pay is less.
