I have passed my class 12 cbse board last year and I have got only73 %marks in class 12 cbse board in this year 2020 can I am eligible to take admission in btech in iiit through jeemain 2020 according to the new rules of 75%criteria

NILUTPOL Student Expert 18th Jul, 2020
Hello,
If you are from general category, then you must have secured minimum 75% in your class 12 boards (65% for ST/SC/OBC). Apart from that if you are in the top 20 percentile of your respective boards then also you are eligible for admission into NITs IIITs and GFTIs and also eligible for JEE Advanced if you qualify in JEE mains.
As you appeared for your class 12 boards in the last year, you could have appeared for your improvement exam in the year 2020. But if you have not registered for the improvement exam, then you have no other ways to increase your score. So as you have secured only 73% in boards which is less than 75% minimum, so you won't be eligible for admission into NITs IIITs and GFTIs. Also you won't be eligible for JEE Advanced even if you qualify for JEE mains.
You can only go for private engineering colleges in India. You can work hard from there and learn new skills. After all, it depends on how hard you can work. All the best.

IS A VISUALLY DISBALE STUDENT(AVOBE 40 % DISABILITY) ALLOW TO STUDY MBBS ACCORDING TO THE NEW GUIDELINE OF NTA FOR NEET 2020?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Jan, 2020

40% is the limit set to avail PWD quota under Visual disability clause under Persons with Disabilites Act. And PWD is not a vertical reservation. It is a horizontal reservation within your Category. For example, lets say you belong to OBC Catgeory with 40% Disability, you qualify under OBC-PWD Category. But if a Candidate belongs to SC Category and has more than 40% disability, then he/she doesnt qualify for PWD reservation. But only qualifies for SC reservation. Should that Candidate get a seat in NEET, he/she can take admission under SC Category and not under PWD Quota.

Nisha 29th Nov, 2019

Hello,

The exam of CBSE will be conducted according to the new syllabus and pattern in 2020. So even if you are giving an improvement paper you have to take the exam in new pattern. Please go through it to familiarize yourself with it and don't worry . The changes are introduced to ease the pressure on students so work hard and do well.

Hope it helps

as jipmer and aiims comes under neet...so there is any change in the syullbus of neet2020...any logical reasoning or english comprehension is included in neet...please update ur app according to the new performa...and please clarify my query

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 8th Nov, 2019

AIIMS and JIPMER have been scrapped off in favour of NEET and not the other way round. So it is unlikely that NTA will change NEET's exam pattern. May be AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct theri separate admission process by conducting further rounds but NEET will not have a  changed exam pattern. This is because AIIMS has approximately 1500 seats and JIPMER 200 seats. But across India, almost  90,000 MBBS seats also are filled through NEET. So bringing in a change for 1700 odd seats is unlikely. As of now, NEET has 180 questions in the form of MCQs. Physics and Chemistry have 45 questions each and Biology has 90 questions. Every correct answer gives you 4 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark.
