i have 78.4% in 10 th class and 76.6 percent in 12 commerce and pursuing b.com hons from Shaheed bhagat singh college , DU right now can i have a chances of converting iim ABC

Yash 22nd Oct, 2024

Candidates seeking admission to IIM ABC are first required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) as it is one of the most important component to get admission in any of the IIM.

In order to get admission in IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore or Calcutta, you must obtain a good percentile in the CAT. There is no specific percentile stated by institutes which will give you a 100% WATPI shortlist as getting an interview call depends upon various factors.

IIMs give consideration to a number of factors while giving an interview call which include CAT score, Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor's degree marks, work experience, academic, and gender diversity, etc. Your first priority should be to clear both the overall and sectional percentile post which you must perform exceptionally well in the WATPI process.

However, even if you score 99 percentile in the CAT , this will not mean that you will get a confirm Interview call. The marks obtained by you in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation, work experience, academic, and gender diversity will play a major role to get a shortlist for the WATPI process and during your final selection.

Therefore, you will be able to convert IIM ABC if you perform well in the CAT followed by the WATPI process.

Yash 14th Nov, 2024

Candidates seeking admission to the MA in History programme offered at the School of Open Learning at the University of Delhi can register with the CUET PG score as well as without CUET score based on marks obtained in the graduation. The merit list for the admission to the MA History programme will be based on the marks obtained in the CUET PG. What should a child with science background opt for - BA Psychology or Bsc Psychology. Is there any difference in the curriculum. Suggest good colleges which offer 4 yr degree in BSc Psychology. Does DU offer BSC Psychology?

Ishita 30th Jul, 2024

Both BA Psychology and BSc Psychology are undergraduate psychology programs, but they have distinct differences in focus and curriculum:

A BA in Psychology typically has a broader focus on the social sciences and humanities. It incorporates psychology within the context of arts and social science disciplines.

- Curriculum: It often includes subjects like sociology, anthropology, philosophy, and history alongside core psychology courses.

- Career Paths: Suitable for students interested in psychology from a social sciences perspective and those who might want to integrate psychology with other fields such as social work, counseling, or education.

BSc in Psychology leans more towards the scientific and quantitative aspects of psychology. It is more research-oriented and includes a significant focus on biological and experimental aspects of psychology.

- Curriculum: Typically includes courses in research methodology, statistics, biological psychology, cognitive psychology, and other science-related subjects. It is designed to provide a strong foundation in the scientific principles of psychology.

- Career Paths: Ideal for students interested in pursuing further studies in psychology (like an MSc or PhD) or careers in research, clinical psychology, or areas that require strong scientific and statistical skills.

Here are some reputed colleges in India offering a 4-year BSc Psychology program:

1. Ashoka University, Sonipat

2. Christ University, Bangalore

3. Manipal University, Manipal

4. Jain University, Bangalore

5. Mount Carmel College, Bangalore

Delhi University does not offer a 4-year BSc Psychology program. DU offers a 3-year BSc (Hons) in Psychology.

Some DU colleges offering BSc (Hons) Psychology include

Lady Shri Ram College for Women

Miranda House

Jesus and Mary College
