Hello Aspirant,
For Indian and international students, an MBBS from Georgia is a good option for the students who are seeking affordable, English medium medical education abroad. Georgian medical universities are recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and listed in the World Directory of the Medical Schools (WDOMS). Many Georgian universities are also recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India, permitting graduates of Georgian medical universities to appear for the FMGE/NExT exam and be licensed to practice in India.
What to do after MBBS from Georgia?
Once you have finished your MBBS from Georgia, there are many possibilities:
Make sure to choose NMC approved universities and start preparing for licensing examinations early so the transition after MBBS is smooth.
If your JEE Main percentile isn't particularly high, there are still opportunities available at certain private engineering colleges in cities like Lucknow and Noida.
These institutions often admit students with lower scores or offer direct admission through management quota.
Hello
In Karnataka, college admissions are divided mainly into Private Quota and Other Quotas like Government Quota. The Private Quota seats are available mostly in private unaided colleges and are open to students from all over India. These seats come with higher tuition fees and less government subsidy. Admissions under this quota are usually based on entrance exams like NEET for medical courses or CET/COMEDK for engineering. Students opting for private quota should be prepared for significantly higher fees compared to government quota seats.
On the other hand, the Government Quota seats are reserved primarily for students who are domiciled in Karnataka. These seats are subsidized by the government, making the fees much lower and more affordable. Admission to government quota seats is based on merit through state-level entrance exams such as KCET or NEET, depending on the course. Additionally, there are other categories like Management Quota and NRI Quota, which generally have higher fees and different eligibility criteria, but the main difference lies between private quota’s higher fees and open eligibility versus government quota’s subsidized fees and domicile restrictions.
