Hello aspirant,
If you're referring to admission in the M.Des (Master of Design) course in Interior or Industrial Design for the years 2026–27, you’ll need to appear for entrance exams like CEED Common Entrance Exam for Design or specific institute-level tests such as those conducted by NID, IITs, or private universities like UID, Pearl Academy, etc. Most top institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, or NID Ahmedabad accept CEED scores, and the eligibility usually includes a bachelor's degree B.Des, B.Tech,etc. You should ideally start preparing a portfolio along with practicing for the design aptitude test (if required). The seats are limited, and competition is strong, so focus on creative and analytical skills.
Thank you and hope you will find it helpful!
Hello Kishore
With a rank of 47,808 and community rank (MBC) of 13,594 and cutoff of 175.5, you will not get EEE in most top or mid-level engineering colleges in TNEA Counselling.
Your best chance is go for lower and self financed institutions for getting into your desired branch of EEE.

Hello,
Cutoff ranks for B.Sc Geology can vary depending on the university or college you're targeting and whether you’re from a state or central board. In most central universities or reputed state universities like Calcutta University, Delhi University, or Presidency College, the cutoff for non-state board students is usually a combination of marks and merit rank.Typically, students from boards like CBSE or ICSE need to have 85% or more in Class 12 with science stream to be in safe zone . But in colleges with entrance-based admissions (like BHU), a cutoff rank can range from 100 to 400 in their respective entrance tests for general category students.

Hello Preksha
With a rank of 9262, you don't have any chance of getting any seat for MCA in any NIT or other institutes/colleges through NIMCET as the closing rank of getting MCA through NIMCET is well below the rank of 9262.

Hello!
So based on your rank 5000 in JEE Mains and you are from Punjab you have some chances of getting NITJ branches like mechanical civil, chemical or biotechnology but in the later rounds as SC category seats also closed early.
As your SC rank is around 5000 your CRL can be anywhere between 1,20,000 to 1,60,000, depending on your marks.

Hey Anshika,
Thanks for reaching out!
Unfortunately, with an All India Rank of 2,15,899 and OBC rank of 75,124 , It's highly unlikely to get a seat in CSE at HBTU (Harcourt Butler Technical University). The general closing rank for CSE in the OBC category usually ranges between 25,000 to 45,000. Though cut-offs may vary each year, your rank is quite beyond this range,so it's not possible to get a seat in CSE.but, Don't worry , you may still have chances in less competitive branches such as Civil, Mechanical, electrical etc.Or in colleges where cutoffs are relatively lower.

Hello Udaya

Hii,
With a 77 percentile in English and 88 percentile in GAT, your marks is actually quite decent especially since you belong to the OBC category. These scores can definitely give you an edge in some central universities. Now, when it comes to the University of Hyderabad, it’s true that the cutoffs are usually quite high, especially for popular courses. So yes, it can be a bit competitive there.
As for CUK (Kalaburagi) and CUTN (Tiruvarur), their cutoffs tend to be a bit more flexible. Based on your percentile, your chances of getting a seat there are much stronger. Among the two, CUTN is steadily improving in terms of placements, especially in the humanities and social sciences streams. On the other hand, Hyderabad University has one of the best reputations and placement records among central universities.
Just make sure to regularly check their official websites for counselling dates, application deadlines, and updates.
All the best!
