To score well in CET , the best strategy is to follow the state board syllabus, usually from classes 11 and 12. Focus on understanding the core concepts in Physics, Chemistry, Maths (or Biology for medical stream). You don’t need to study beyond your board syllabus, just be thorough with what’s already there. Practice previous year papers and take mock tests regularly to improve speed and accuracy. Also, time management during the exam is very important, so try to solve questions within a set time. Studying a little every day, even just 2-3 hours with full focus, can give you strong results over a few months. Use NCERT books and CET-specific preparation books to strengthen your basics and boost confidence.

Admission into GNM depends on your 12th-grade marks, the state you're applying in, and the reservation category you belong to. Generally, students who have passed 12th with at least 40-45% marks (varies by category) and have studied Science, especially Biology, are eligible. If you meet these basic criteria and have applied to colleges on time, there’s a good chance you’ll get selected, especially in private colleges where the competition is relatively lower. Make sure to track the counselling rounds and document verification process properly.

Kashmiri Migrant Quota is not limited to ASCOMS Jammu alone. Some Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in Jammu and Kashmir also offer MBBS seats under this special category, depending on seat availability and reservation policies for the given year. If MBBS is your only goal, consider reappearing for NEET next year with stronger preparation. Otherwise, BDS, BAMS, or BPT are good alternatives that can still lead to successful careers in healthcare.
