Chemistry plays a significant role, especially biochemistry, and physics also appears in analytical techniques and instrumentation. Biotechnology is a good choice if you are interested in research, drug development, genetics, or higher studies like MSc, PhD, or research-based careers. However, core job opportunities after a BSc in Biotechnology are limited, and most students need to pursue higher education to build a strong career.

Considering your situation:

• Strong in biology

• Weaker in physics and chemistry

• Preparing for NEET and CUET

• Looking for clearer career stability

B. Optometry is likely a better and safer choice for you. It aligns more closely with applied biology, has less chemistry pressure, and offers better job opportunities after graduation. Biotechnology can still be chosen if you are genuinely interested in research and are willing to improve your chemistry and commit to long-term studies.

In conclusion, if your priority is employability, clinical exposure, and leveraging your strength in biology, B. Optometry would be the more suitable option. Central universities like Delhi University, BHU, and Jamia Millia Islamia are usually considered top because of low fees, good faculty, and exposure.
