Hello Hitesh
A state EWS certificate is usually not valid for JEE Advanced or JoSAA counselling.
You’ll need an EWS certificate in the central government format, as required by IITs.
Even if issued by your local authority, it must clearly mention it’s as per Govt. of India norms.
You can visit your tahsildar/revenue office and request it in the “central format for JEE.”
Make sure the issue date is after April 1, 2025, for it to be valid in 2026 counselling.
You don’t need it at the time of JEE Main, only during Advanced registration and JoSAA.
You still have enough time to get it updated, so no stress, just don’t delay it too long.
To prepare for JELET Exam and score 30+ marks in 7 days, you should follow a short and focused plan.
Day 1: Go through the complete syllabus and exam pattern. Check previous year papers to understand important topics.
Day 2–3: Focus on core branch subjects (like Circuit Theory, Machines, Thermodynamics, Data Structures, etc., depending on your branch). Revise formulas, key concepts, and practice MCQs from previous papers.
Day 4: Revise Engineering Mathematics – focus on topics like Differential Equations, Matrices, Integration, Probability, and Complex Numbers. Practice short numerical problems.
Day 5: Revise common subjects such as Engineering Mechanics, Basic Electrical Engineering, and Computer Fundamentals (as per your syllabus).
Day 6: Attempt one full mock test or previous year question paper. Analyze your mistakes and revise weak areas.
Day 7: Revise all important formulas, definitions, and short notes. Avoid new topics and stay calm.
With 6–8 hours of focused study per day, solving previous year questions, and revising key concepts, it is possible to score 30+ marks in the JELET exam even with one week of preparation.
