If you join a medical college allotted through All India Quota (AIQ) Round 1 in a different state, the college will retain your original documents, such as NEET scorecard, allotment letter, and Class 10 and 12 certificates, as part of the admission process. This is a standard practice to confirm your admission. If you later get allotted a seat in your home state through State Round 1 and wish to take it, you will need to report to the first college and formally resign from the AIQ seat. Only after resignation will the original documents be returned. Therefore, you must physically visit the initial college to retrieve your documents before you can complete admission in the state college.
Hello aspirant,
First of all, admission is given to the students who are ahead in the pecking order and if any of them opt to not take the admission then the students from the waiting list are chosen. So, you need to wait for the another admission list of the college which will be available on its official website.
Thank you
Hope it helps you

If you’re preparing your MBBS preference list for government colleges, start by putting the top-ranking colleges in your state or through AIQ at the top, like AIIMS or MAMC if your score is very high. Next, include well-reputed government medical colleges like BJMC Pune, GMC Nagpur, or Grant Medical College. Choose colleges where last year’s cut-off closely matches your NEET score.
If your marks are a bit lower, look for newer government colleges with slightly lower cutoffs. Always check your category-wise cutoff trends before arranging the list. Make sure your preferences balance both dream options and realistic choices.
With 490 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the SC category, you stand a good chance of securing an MBBS seat through the 15% All India Quota (AIQ). Based on previous years’ closing scores for SC candidates in this range, you may consider these government medical colleges:
Government Medical College, Alappuzha (Kerala)
Government Medical College, Ernakulam (Kerala)
Raiganj Government Medical College (West Bengal)
Government Medical College, Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh)
Government Medical College, Baramati (Maharashtra)
Doon Medical College, Dehradun (Uttarakhand)
Government Medical College, Siddipet (Telangana)
Government Medical College, Pali (Rajasthan)
ESIC Medical College, Faridabad (Haryana)
NEIGRIHMS, Shillong (Meghalaya)
These colleges typically have SC cutoffs in the general range of 470–500 marks under AIQ. The chances are greater in newly established institutions, northeastern states, and dedicated AIQ seats.
