With an OC rank of six hundred nineteen in AP ECET 2025 you have strong chances of gaining admission into Andhra University College of Engineering Visakhapatnam through lateral entry into the second year In recent years closing rank for Andhra University lateral entry in engineering branches was very high for top branches For example data shows that Andhra University accepted candidates up to rank fifty two in some branches and others extended beyond one thousand Therefore your rank of six hundred nineteen definitely falls within the closing range for admission Especially branches like civil mechanical electronics or electrical engineering you have good chances It is important to participate in the ECET counselling process starting in June Send your option preferences strategically and complete document verification early to secure your seat at Andhra University

I can get 89.60 per in SSC board and my cast is OBC can I get admission in government polytechnic nagpur for computer engineering branch

OISHEE BANERJEE 13th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant, good morning!

With 89.60 percent in your SSC board exams and belonging to the OBC category, your chances of getting admission into Government Polytechnic Nagpur for the Computer Engineering branch are quite good. This college is one of the top choices for diploma courses in Maharashtra, and it sees a lot of competition, especially for branches like Computer Engineering.

The admission process is conducted through the DTE Maharashtra Centralized Admission Process based on SSC marks. In previous years, the cutoffs for the Computer Engineering branch in this college have been around 85 to 90 percent depending on the category and the number of applicants. Since your score is on the higher side and also have OBC reservation, there is a strong chance for you in this course.

However, do keep in mind that cutoffs can vary slightly every year depending on the demand and the number of seats. It’s important to fill in the CAP form carefully and include multiple options in your preference list. Also, participate in all CAP rounds to increase your chances. Even if you don’t get Computer Engineering in the first round, you can get it in later rounds if some students withdraw or move to other options.

To stay safe, you can also keep some other related branches like Information Technology or Electronics and Telecommunication as backup choices. But overall, with your marks and category, you definitely have a realistic shot at getting Computer Engineering at Government Polytechnic Nagpur.

All the best for your counselling and admission process. Hope you get the branch and college you’re aiming for. Happy studying!

my rank is below than the cutoff, so if i filled a higher cutoff branch which is fairly near my rank, so in college choice filling is there a chance to get that branch.

Ayan Chakraborty 12th Jun, 2025

Hey, I get it—seeing your rank fall below the cutoff can be tough, especially when you’ve applied for a branch that’s just a bit higher. But don’t worry, there’s still a path forward. With AP EAPCET 2025, the process doesn’t end after the initial rounds, and your rank being fairly close to the cutoff gives you a fighting chance.

After the main counseling rounds (usually at least three), there’s a spot admission round where vacant seats are filled. This is your opportunity, especially since your chosen branch’s cutoff is near your rank. While it depends on how many seats remain and other applicants, it’s worth staying hopeful. Keep an eye on the official website (https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET) for updates on dates and procedures.

Make sure to check the counseling schedule regularly and be ready to act fast when spot admissions open. You can also consider other branches or colleges where your rank might fit better, but since you’re focused on this branch, prioritize the spot round. If needed, reach out to the counseling helpline for clarity. Stay proactive, and you might just land that seat!
