    Your score in MHT CET PCM is 88 percentile, and as such, you may not be able to secure Computer Science in the best government colleges in Pune as they would be expected to take at least a 90 percentile.


    But still better private colleges in Pune will have your score with seat of Computer Science like MIT Pune, Vishwakarma Institute or Sinhgad Institutes where cutoffs may be lower.

    It is very possible that you have a different form or variant of the name (diff. in form or existence of last name) in your caste certificate ("X Y Z") and other documents (e.g. Aadhaar / School certs / 10th mark sheet "X Y") which hence can create confusion wherever you need the documents e.g. admissions or government work.


    This is what you may do:


    Name Consistency:

    In submitting applications during admissions or official processes it is important to attempt to apply a similar naming convention to all the documents. When your caste certificate has a different name, but your Aadhaar and school certificates, go by a different name, authorities can suspect you of lying about someone.



    You are able to prepare a notarial affidavit in which it says that both X Y and X Y Z are one person. This can be used as an affidavit to make things clear and connect your identity through documents.


    As far as possible update Documents:


    You could make the application to change your caste certificate or any document to the one in Aadhaar or school certificate and vice-versa depending on which name you desire to be official.


    In the case of Aadhaar, the name can be updated either online or in the Aadhaar center.


    In the case of caste certificate, approach the concerned issuing authority to correct or re-issue.


    Supporting Documents:

    Have ready on hand other supporting documents (birth certificate, passport, bank passbook) where your name is reflected in the appropriate format that you want it to be.


    Warning ahead of time:

    In case you are certain that admissions or job applications will be done soon, report the matter of name mismatch to the concerned authority or the admission office well beforehand, and submit affidavit or other documents of evidence.


    The bottom line is that Name mismatch can be corrected through appropriate documentation and often, authorities are ready to accept an affidavit explaining the differences in names.
