Can An sc girl from Andhra Pradesh with 35k rank in neet can get medical seat in india

Abhi sonkar 10th Jul, 2025

Hello

Here is what your NEET rank (35,000), SC category, female, with Andhra Pradesh domicile, means for securing an MBBS seat in prominent government medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh

1. All India Quota (15%) – MCC Counselling

In recent years, the AIQ closing ranks for SC candidates have ranged from 1,14,000 (Round 2) to 1,30,000 (Round 3).

With a rank of 35,000, you are well within this range.

You have a very strong chance of securing an MBBS seat under the All India Quota.

2. Andhra Pradesh State Quota (85%)

a. Category-wise Cutoffs (Govt Colleges)

For SC (female) candidates under the AP state quota, the closing rank is around 2,16,000.

Your rank of 35,000 is much lower, so you are comfortably eligible for government medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Immediately register for MCC AIQ counselling as soon as registration opens.

Apply for AP state quota counselling via Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (state counselled seats).

Prepare your documents like SC certificate, AP domicile, NEET result, ID proof, etc.

The first-year fees for a BA program can vary significantly depending on the college and its location.

Generally, fees range from INR 10,000 to INR 25,000 per year for government colleges, while private colleges can charge between INR 30,000 to INR 5,00,000 per year.

I recommend you to check the specific fee structure of the college you are interested in, as it can vary significantly based on location, institution and if it is government or private college.

Hello student,

Your rank is quite low so it's difficult to get CSE in any of the top colleges. But here is a list of colleges that you have some chance of getting into for CSE:

  • Bangalore College of Engineering & Technology
  • Global Academy of Technology
  • T. John institute of technology
  • East West Institute of Technology
  • Cambridge Institute of Technology

Why state forms release before neet councelling

Chelsie G 10th Jul, 2025

State NEET counselling forms are released early to:

  1. Start the process on time – States manage 85% of seats, so they begin early to avoid delays.

  2. Collect student details – For documents, category, and eligibility.

  3. Run smoothly with All India counselling – It helps avoid confusion by planning ahead.

  4. Each state has its own schedule – They don’t need to wait for All India rounds to start.

So, it’s normal and helpful that state forms come out before or along with NEET AIQ counselling.

gopi 10th Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you are eligible for the 15% unreserved quota in AP EAMCET (now EAPCET) as this quota is available to all the candidates from any state in India including Telangana. The SC category or local status of Telangana does not have any bearing in the eligibility of this 15% quota which is purely non-locals and to all.

Good Morning. Is Mechanical in IIITDM, Kancheepuram or Chemical engineering from NIT, Trichy better?

gopi 10th Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Both Mechanical Engineering in IIITDM Kancheepuram and Chemical Engineering in NIT Trichy have their own strengths and weaknesses; they are both good options (yes, I know this is a cliché). Which is the better choice for you to take will ultimately depend on your interests and future ambitions.

You should take Mechanical in IIITDM Kancheepuram if:

  1. You are specifically interested in design, manufacturing, robotics or mechatronics, etc.
  2. You prefer a design-based curriculum that also allows for some of your own interdisciplinary work from parallel fields such as electronics and computer science.
  3. You plan on doing higher studies in mechanical/design-related fields or, you are going for a role in technology where you want to apply skill learning across multiple domains.

You should take Chemical in NIT Trichy if:

  1. You are really interested in core chemical processes, research, or looking for a career in critical industries like oil, gas, pharmacy, materials.
  2. You think NIT Trichy may have better connections from the alumni network, better placements or recruitment, or possibly better facilities and building resources.
  3. You seek public sector jobs, core chemical R & D jobs, or want to study abroad before you apply for your first job in core chemical disciplines.
