how to refund over fee those i sumbit in josa councilling

Rahul Mandal 25th Dec, 2025

Hello,
To get a JoSAA fee refund, you must withdraw online through the JoSAA portal before the final round deadline, which results in a refund of your Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) after deducting a processing fee (around INR 7000), while the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) is handled by the college and non-refundable via JoSAA.

I hope it will clear your query!!

I am from NC OBC Category with 85.77%ile with a 9/9/8 profile Ive completed my graduation in Horticulture stream. Do i have any chance of getting calls from IIMA FABM or IIML ABM

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

With an NC-OBC category, 85.77 percentile in CAT, a strong 9/9/8 academic profile, and a graduation background in Horticulture, you do have some chances, but they differ significantly between IIM Ahmedabad FABM and IIM Lucknow ABM.

For IIM Ahmedabad – FABM, the institute usually has a very high CAT percentile requirement, even for reserved categories. In recent admission cycles, NC-OBC candidates shortlisted for FABM typically had CAT percentiles closer to 88–92+, along with strong sectionals. Although your academic profile and relevant horticulture background are definite positives, a CAT percentile of 85.77 is on the lower side for IIM Ahmedabad’s FABM shortlisting. Therefore, getting a call from IIMA FABM at this percentile is unlikely, unless there is an exceptionally favorable normalization or sectional performance and cutoffs drop unexpectedly.

On the other hand, IIM Lucknow – ABM is more achievable for your profile. IIM Lucknow gives significant weightage to academic consistency, relevant agricultural background, and category reservation. For NC-OBC candidates, ABM shortlists have historically gone slightly lower than flagship PGP cutoffs, especially for candidates from agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and allied sciences. With 85.77 percentile, a 9/9/8 profile, and a core horticulture degree, you stand a reasonable chance of getting a call from IIM Lucknow ABM, provided you meet sectional cutoffs.

If you do get shortlisted for IIM Lucknow ABM, your final selection will depend heavily on the PI, academic relevance, work exposure (if any), and clarity of career goals in the agri-business domain. Candidates with strong domain understanding often convert ABM calls even at relatively lower CAT percentiles compared to general MBA programs.

In summary, IIM Ahmedabad FABM is unlikely at 85.77 percentile, but IIM Lucknow ABM is a realistic possibility for you as an NC-OBC candidate with a horticulture background. You should also consider applying to other ABM programs like IIM Kashipur (ABM), IIM Sambalpur (ABM), and other agri-focused management institutes, where your profile would be competitively strong.

I want get admission in 9 th class

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

Admission to Class 9 is generally done at the school level and does not involve any national-level entrance examination. If you want to take admission in 9th class, you must have passed Class 8 from a recognised school or board. Most government and private schools conduct either a written admission test, an interview, or both, depending on the number of available seats. The subjects usually tested include Mathematics, Science, English, and sometimes Social Science, based on the syllabus of Class 8. For government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, admissions are governed by specific rules, age criteria, and availability of seats, and the process is announced officially each year. In private schools, admissions are usually open between March and June, though mid-session admissions may be possible if seats are vacant. You will need documents such as your Class 8 mark sheet, transfer certificate, birth certificate, and address proof at the time of admission. It is recommended that you contact the school directly where you wish to apply, check their admission notification, and prepare for any entrance test or interaction they may conduct. All the best!

where can i get pilot assesment maths exam held in 2025 of class 10 which is based on cbse level

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

If you are looking for a pilot assessment–type Mathematics exam at the Class 10 level based on the CBSE syllabus, it is important to understand that CBSE itself does not conduct any official “pilot assessment maths exam” separately. However, several reputed national-level talent search exams, scholarship exams and diagnostic assessments are conducted every year which closely follow the CBSE Class 10 Mathematics syllabus and are often referred to as pilot or assessment tests by coaching institutes and schools.

You can appear for exams such as the NTSE (Stage 1 conducted by states), which is fully based on the CBSE Class 9–10 syllabus and includes a Mathematics component. Olympiad exams like the National Mathematics Olympiad Foundation (NMO), SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), and Unified Council Mathematics Olympiad are also conducted annually and follow CBSE concepts strictly. These exams are held through schools as well as online modes in some cases.

Apart from national exams, many CBSE-affiliated schools and reputed coaching institutes like FIITJEE, Allen, Aakash and local CBSE coaching centres conduct internal pilot assessments or diagnostic maths tests for Class 10 students during the academic year to evaluate board exam readiness. These are usually announced through schools or coaching centres and are aligned with the CBSE examination pattern.

For accurate and updated information for 2025, you should regularly check the official CBSE website, your school notice board, and websites of recognised Olympiad conducting bodies.

my All india rank is 15665 and my all india obc rank is 2896 . i am from bihar with an obc- ncl reservation and having state domicile of bihar . can i get any NLUs

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

With an All India Rank of 15665 and an OBC-NCL rank of 2896, your chances of getting admission into the top-tier NLUs are low. However, admission to some lower-ranked and newer National Law Universities may still be possible, especially if you are able to benefit from category reservation and state domicile where applicable.

Since you have Bihar domicile, your first preference should be Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna. CNLU offers domicile-based reservation for Bihar candidates, and OBC-NCL candidates with higher ranks have managed to secure seats in later rounds or vacancy rounds in previous years. While confirmation cannot be guaranteed at this rank, you do have a realistic chance in spot or vacancy rounds if seats remain unfilled.

Apart from CNLU Patna, you may also have chances in newer NLUs such as NLU Tripura, NLU Meghalaya, NLU Sikkim, NLU Jabalpur (DNLU), NLU Aurangabad (Maharashtra), and NLU Agartala, depending on the cut-offs for the current year and how many candidates withdraw during counselling rounds. These NLUs usually have relatively higher closing ranks compared to older institutions.

It is strongly advised that you fill the counselling preference list carefully, placing CNLU Patna and newer NLUs higher, and participate actively in all counselling rounds including vacancy rounds. Keep track of official CLAT counselling notifications, as many admissions at higher ranks happen due to withdrawals after the first few rounds.
