I have secured 88 percentile in CUET GAT and 77 percentile in English CUET. Kindly let me know which central University can I apply? Is there any chance of me getting an Integrated MA in the University of Hyderabad? Kindly guide me thru courses and cutoffs for central universities.

Chelsie G 15th Jul, 2025

Based on your CUET scores 88 percentile in GAT and 77 percentile in English you may have a moderate chance of securing admission into certain Integrated M.A. programs offered by Central Universities, depending on the course and category you belong to.

At the University of Hyderabad (UoH), Integrated M.A. courses are offered in Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology. For general category students, the previous year’s cutoffs were typically above 90 percentile in GAT and 85–90 percentile in English, especially for Economics and Political Science.

However, courses like Anthropology, History, or Sociology may have relatively lower cutoffs, and with your scores, you might be considered under waiting lists or in later counselling rounds. If you belong to a reserved category (OBC/SC/ST/EWS), your chances improve significantly.

You can also consider applying to other central universities that offer Integrated M.A. programs with slightly lower cutoff trends, such as:

  • Central University of Karnataka (CUK) – M.A. in English, Political Science, History

  • Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) – M.A. in Economics

  • Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow – Multiple humanities courses

  • Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar

  • Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) – M.A. in Development Studies, Economics, etc.

Make sure to review the previous year’s cutoffs and seat matrix of each university before applying.

what is closing rank for obc category for bds

Ayush Madanpotra 14th Jul, 2025

For BDS admission under the OBC category through NEET, the closing rank depends on the year and the type of college. But usually, if you are from the OBC category and want to get a seat in a government dental college through All India Quota, your NEET score should be at least 520 to 540 marks. This means your rank should be under 3,00,000 to have a better chance.

Last year, many OBC students got BDS seats in government colleges with ranks around 3,50,000 or a little more. But for top dental colleges like in Mumbai, Delhi, or Bangalore, the cutoff can go higher, around 540 to 560 marks.

In state quota counselling, the cutoff may be a little lower depending on your state. So even if your rank is a little above 3 lakh, you may still get a seat through your state counselling, especially in private or semi-government colleges.

Can i get seat with 392 marks in mbbs

OISHEE BANERJEE 14th Jul, 2025

With 392 marks in NEET, your chances of getting an MBBS seat depend mainly on your category, state quota, and the cutoff trends in your home state.

For the general category under All India Quota, 392 is not enough for government MBBS seats. The cutoff usually crosses 610+ marks for general category students. Even for reserved categories like OBC, SC, or ST, the cutoffs under All India Quota are generally above 500.

However, under the 85% state quota, if you belong to a reserved category and your state has lower cutoff trends, you might have a chance at a government seat, but it's still borderline. States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, or some North-Eastern states sometimes have lower cutoffs for SC/ST candidates.

If you're from the general category, your best chances with 392 marks are in private medical colleges or deemed universities, though the fees are much higher. In some states, private colleges have cutoffs around 380–420 marks.

Simran Vohra 14th Jul, 2025

So according to you rank in EAPCET  52,069 getting admission in Nims is not possible because nims college is not an engineering college so admission there do not happen through EAPCET. It's a medical college and admission here are taken on the basis of NEET or their own entrance exams. You can try some other private colleges.
