Taabia Fathima 17th Jul, 2025

Yes, you can choose ECE (VLSI) at CEG Anna University If your cut-off and TNEA rank meet the required eligbility. VLSI is a core and in-demand specialization with strong placement potential. However starting packages of 15-20LPA for freshers are very rare and usually offered only in top-tier companies such as Intel,Qualcomm etc. and that too only for candidates with Exceptional skills or from IITs.

At CEG,Top IT companies visit for placements but average packages range between 6 - 8 LPA for top performing students. With the right skills in design tools, internships and strong academic projects, higher packages are possible over time.

Yes, you can work in IT field too. after ECE VLSI, as IT companies like TCS,Infosys,Wipro recruit ECE students .

Career Boost tip:

Focus on mastering VLSI tools, doing internships and buliding potential projects.

For IT roles sharpen your skills in coding, DSA,Python and development skills.

This increases your chance of landing roles in top companies with better pay.

I scored 95.10 percentile in mah cet bba bms exam now I want to take admission in a college in bms/baf i passed 12th in 2024 which college should I go for and I not a local of maharashtra

OISHEE BANERJEE 17th Jul, 2025

With 95.10 percentile in the MAH CET 2025 for BBA/BMS and being a non-local (Outside Maharashtra State – OMS candidate), you have a competitive score, but admission to top Mumbai colleges under the All India quota can still be challenging due to limited seats and high cutoffs.

For BMS or BAF, your percentile places you in a strong position for mid-tier to upper-mid-tier colleges. Admission to top institutes like NM College, Mithibai, Jai Hind, and HR College is highly competitive, especially for the All India category, where cutoffs often exceed 96–98 percentile. While you’re close, these colleges may still be difficult to get in the initial rounds.

You should actively consider applying to colleges like:

  • Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management

  • SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce

  • Wilson College

  • Sydenham College (for BAF specifically)

  • Thakur College of Science and Commerce

These institutions have a solid academic reputation and are more accessible at your percentile. Since you passed Class 12 in 2024, you’re eligible for this year’s CAP rounds. Make sure you complete the centralized admission process (CAP) on the official portal and select colleges in order of preference. Track the institute-wise and category-wise cutoffs regularly.

Aradhana Mallik 18th Jul, 2025

With 133 marks out of 750 in NEET 2025 under the General category, you're not qualified for government or Private MBBS/BDS seats, because the qualifying cutoff for General is 144 (50th percentile). You also can’t take part in MBBS/BDS counselling for most colleges. MBBS abroad is also not allowed without NEET qualification.
