Hello,
For entry into the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery program in 2025, a candidate needs to pass the NEET exam. For students in the OBC category, the NEET qualifying percentile is the 40th percentile, which generally translates to achieving approximately 113 to 143 marks. Nevertheless, merely qualifying is insufficient to guarantee a position.
To gain entry into government BAMS colleges, the cut-off scores tend to be elevated, and OBC applicants might require approximately 440 to 500 marks, varying by state and seat availability.
Conversely, private BAMS colleges generally feature somewhat lower cut-offs, allowing OBC students with scores between 350 and 450 a potential opportunity for admission, particularly in subsequent counselling sessions. Actively engaging in the counselling process and monitoring state-specific cut-offs and seat availability is crucial for enhancing the likelihood of obtaining a seat.
Hope this helps. All the best!
NEET is one of the most toughest exam of India and if you want to get the best colleges for BAMS course then you need to score 600 marks to secure your admission. Candidates must have finished Class 12 in Science with PCB in order to get admitted to BAMS in 2025.

Thank you
To get admission in BAMS through NEET 2025, you need to score a minimum number of marks depending on your category.
If you are in general or EWS category, you need around 550 to 650 marks to get a seat in a government BAMS college.
If you are in OBC category, you should have around 400 to 550 marks.
If you are in SC category, then 350 to 500 marks can be enough.
For private BAMS colleges, the required marks are lower. In private colleges, you may get admission with 350 to 450 marks, depending on your category and the state.
The minimum marks to qualify NEET are much lower, around 113 to 145, but just qualifying is not enough to get a BAMS seat. You need to score well to get into a good college.

Indeed, IMS BHU (Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University) provides a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course. The program is a 4 year full-time course along with a 6 month internship, featuring a total of 25 seats designated for different categories, General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS, all sanctioned under BHU’s guidelines. Entry into this course relies on the CUET UG exam rather than NEET, and the overall tuition cost for the complete BPT program is roughly Rs 72,056.
You may not see it categorized under NEET related programs on the IMS BHU website because BPT is regulated by CUET UG, while undergraduate medical/dental programs such as MBBS or BDS utilize NEET for admissions.
Hello Rohit,
Yes, you can apply for JEE Main in 2026 with your diploma. But keep in mind:
PhD in Education usually takes 3 to 5 years to complete. The total fees depend on the type of university.
If you choose a government or public university like DU, JNU, or BHU, the fees are low. Tuition fees are usually between Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000 per year. Including other charges like exam, library, and lab, the yearly cost may be between Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000.
In private universities, the fees are higher. The first-year fees can be around Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 2,95,000. The total cost for the full course may go up to Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
So, public universities are more affordable. Also, many government universities offer fellowships like UGC-NET JRF and CSIR to support PhD students.

The Kashmiri migrant quota in Karnataka reserves one seat per government medical college . The required NEET scores are considerably lower than regular cutoffs. While most General seats require 600+ marks , the migrant category cutoff has been as low as 330–380 marks , depending on the college and year.
Hello Pragathi,
When completing your degree in veterinary from the Ranchi Veterinary College - Birsa Agricultural University, you will become eligible for UPSC and other jobs in the central level government, even if it doesn't receive recognition from the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) at this time.
However, if you want a job which requires a VCI recognized veterinary degree, you will need VCI recognition for jobs like Central government veterinary post and higher studies in some institutions. Therefore, even though no recognition from VCI does not change your overall eligibility to enter in services like UPSC or other civil services etc., you may find limited career choices in the veterinary field without formal recognition by the VCI.
