TANCET is a common requirement:

For admission to M.E. Embedded Systems programs in Tamil Nadu, TANCET is a widely accepted and often required entrance exam.

TANCET is particularly important for securing admission through the government quota in various colleges.

GATE as an alternative:

Some institutions may also accept GATE scores, but TANCET remains a common and sometimes mandatory requirement.

I got 95 percentile in mht cet pcb stream could i get b pharm in ICT mumbai . What are the chances and what should be my second preference

Afreen 30th Jun, 2025

With a 95 percentile in MHT CET (PCB), getting into B.Pharm at ICT Mumbai is unlikely, but not impossible. ICT Mumbai's B.Pharm cutoff is typically higher, often requiring a percentile above 97, especially for general category students,However, there's still a chance in later CAP rounds, especially if the program has a lower closing rank. You should consider other reputable colleges as your second preference, such as Bombay College of Pharmacy, SVKM's Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy, or other government colleges.

Chances of getting into ICT Mumbai:

General Category:

A 95 percentile is likely below the cutoff for direct admission to B.Pharm in ICT Mumbai, especially in the initial CAP rounds.

Other Categories:

If you belong to a reserved category, your chances might be slightly better, but still, a 95 percentile is on the lower side.

Later CAP Rounds:

It's possible to get into ICT Mumbai in the later CAP rounds if some seats remain vacant, especially in programs with lower demand, like Food Engineering or Dyestuff Technology.

Recommended Second Preference Colleges:

Bombay College of Pharmacy: This is a well-regarded college with a good reputation for its B.Pharm program.

SVKM's Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy: Another reputable institution with a strong B.Pharm program.

Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati/Aurangabad/Karad: These are government colleges with a good standing in pharmacy education.

Other good private colleges: Consider colleges like H.K. College of Pharmacy or Ideal Institute of Pharmacy.

Tips for Admission:

Apply to all possible colleges:

Don't limit yourself to just ICT Mumbai. Apply to all the colleges that match your preferences and percentile.

Participate in all CAP rounds:

Ensure you participate in all the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds to maximize your chances.

Prepare for counseling:

Familiarize yourself with the counseling process and keep all your documents ready.

Explore other options:

If you are open to it, explore other related fields like Food Engineering or Dyestuff Technology at ICT Mumbai or other institutions,

Can get admission in college through MhtCET because of my neet is only 20 marks And what is the fees structure of bpt course

gopi 30th Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Admissions to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course in Maharashtra is usually possible through MHT-CET however. BPT admissions through MHT-CET are typically based on NEET marks. Considering you have 20 NEET marks, even management quota seats in a private body or education institution would be impossible by admission for government body or institution or reputed private body or institution. The fee structure for BPT is generally as follows:

  1. Government Colleges: 25,000 - 50,000 per year
  2. Private Colleges: 70,000 - 1,50,000 (beyond management quota could also be higher).

With 210 score in Bitsat what are the chances in getting M. Sc integrates courses Hyderabad campus

gopi 30th Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

From your BITSAT score of 210, BITS Hyderabad entry supports a very focused choice of integrated M.Sc. (like M.Sc. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics or Biology). Generally with this score, admission into the M.Sc. programs at BITS Hyderabad is likely competitive. Based on past trends, the cutoff's for the M.Sc. programs at Hyderabad have ranged 220 to 250. While 210 will typically be below the cutoff marks for most M.Sc. courses, you might still have a small chance / opportunity during the last / spot rounds, provided the cutoff trend is slightly lower that year.

I have a few questions as follows: (1)My mhtcet percentile is 96.47 and jee mains 89.10. can i get admission in k j somaiya school of engineering? (2)I have submitted my form for all specifications available too. is my admission possible in KJSCE? (3)Also, what is the difference between KJSCE and KJSIT. which is better? and i have applied for KJSCE individually from the site itself. does KJSIT also require individual registeration or is it done through CAP?

Ayush Madanpotra 18th Jul, 2025

(1) MHT CET 96.47 percentile and JEE Mains 89.10 percentile – can you get admission in KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE)?
Yes, with 96.47 percentile in MHT CET and 89.10 percentile in JEE Mains, your chances of getting admission in KJSCE are good, especially in branches like IT, E&TC, Mechanical, etc. For CSE, cutoff might go slightly higher, but you still have a fair chance depending on the branch preferences and category.

(2) You submitted your form for all specializations – is your admission possible?
Yes. Since you have applied for all branches through KJSCE’s institutional quota form (from their own website), you are already in their admission process. If your merit rank fits in their cutoff during rounds, you can get admission.

(3) What is the difference between KJSCE and KJSIT? Which one is better?
KJSCE: K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering
KJSIT: K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology

Both are part of Somaiya group but KJSCE is autonomous and located at Vidyavihar, while KJSIT is at Sion and comes under Mumbai University.

KJSCE is considered better in terms of ranking, placements, teaching quality, and student crowd. It is the more preferred option.

(4) You applied for KJSCE from their website. Does KJSIT also need separate registration?
Yes. KJSIT admissions are done through the CAP round (MHT CET CAP). If you have already participated in CAP, you can get KJSIT through the CAP itself.
But KJSIT also sometimes opens its own institute level admission, for which you may need to register separately if you want to try that.
